Bob Saget's untimely death has left many feeling an emptiness inside. Luckily for those who wish to see one last performance by Saget, the time will soon come. The 29th Annual Austin Film Festival will premiere Daniel's Gotta Die at their prestigious event.

Daniel's Gotta Die is a comedy about a newly found family man named Daniel who tries to reconnect with his estranged family, but when his family learns there is an inheritance, they all plot to kill him for his money. The film is directed by Jeremy LaLonde and written by Matthew Dressel.

Daniel's Gotta Die also stars Jason Jones, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Carly Chaikin and Iggy Pop. "Bob's passing came as a shock to the entire Daniel's Gotta Die team. He was a collaborator through and through and really loved his film," director LaLonde said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. "It's with great sadness that he never got to see it finished. I can't wait to see how audiences react to his final performance at Austin Film Festival with his final gift to all that loved him."

Writer Dressel also chimed in, praising Saget's contribution to his character. "Bob truly loved the script and took on a very fatherly role right from the start; eager to help out in any way he could. He really brought the character's heart to the surface of the script and was intent on making sure he got it just right. On set, he always had the script pages in-hand and spoke with me often about making sure the character was as I intended." Dressel goes on. "If there's one person who deserved to see this film it's Bob and I will always be sad he cannot. He helped us craft a beautiful and heart-warming send-off and I think people will really appreciate it."

Saget was well known for his role as Danny Tanner in Full House, however, he was also a hilarious stand-up comic. Saget always made sure audiences saw him not just as "TV Dad" but as a true comedian displaying nothing but raunchiness in his stand-up shows, yet he also maintained a quality of kindness along with it. A strange combination but a concoction right by the only man who was able to do so.

While Saget may not be here to see it, he has always ensured his fans' laughter and audiences will enjoy his final performance. Be it fans from his Full House days or those who love his raunchy stand-up material, it's clear Saget still has admirers who are eager to see his final role.

Daniel's Gotta Die will premiere on October 28th, 2022, at the Austin Film Festival.
