2022 already has people in shock now as Bob Saget, the famous ranchy comedian and beloved dad on Full House, has died at the age of 65. This news is as surprising as it is tragic, and the internet is already reeling.

The actor was found dead in a room of the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Orlando, Florida, as reported by the Orange County Sheriff's Office, and the news was confirmed by the office on Twitter. According to law enforcement, onsite detectives did not find any evidence of foul play or drug use. This leaves Saget's untimely passing a bit of a mystery. But more than anything else, it's a genuine tragedy.

Saget was in the middle of a stand-up comedy tour at the time and had already taken the stage at several Florida venues. The tour was planned to continue well into May, and he had even just performed a show the night before his death, posting a tweet of thanks to the audience and his opening act, Tim Wilkins. This just further adds to the unexpectedness of this already untimely news.

Fans of Saget will likely remember him best as Danny Tanner, the father on ABC's classic wholesome series Full House, as well as in the recent Netflix sequel Fuller House. He was also well-known as a particularly raunchy and boundary-pushing comedian, likely offering a rather unwelcome surprise to any families who saw his work on Full House and decided to see what else he was up to.

Other folks might remember him best as the voice of "future" Ted Mosby throughout the series How I Met Your Mother, essentially bookending every episode with his narration of the show's events to his character's teenage children. Aside from that, anybody who enjoyed his run on Full House while it was on will also fondly remember his hosting gig on the original iteration of America's Funniest Home Videos, further establishing a contrasting family-friendly vibe to his comedy.

It's a true shock and saddening revelation to hear of Saget's passing. He leaves behind a legacy of fans spanning all ages, from his AFV days all the way to a 2020 appearance on The Masked Singer. He entertained the people even to, literally, his final days, and he'll be remembered for all that and more. R.I.P. to a genuine comedy legend, and heartfelt condolences go out to his close friends and family.
