If there's one company that Sony trusts with handling its remakes, it's Bluepoint Games. The company has handled several major remakes for Sony, from Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection to the God of War Collection and 2018's Shadow of The Colossus remake. And while those games are all special, Bluepoint's next project has the company incredibly excited, which should get gamers excited too.

Bluepoint hasn't announced precisely what the company is working on, though it is confirmed that it will debut on the PlayStation 5. On top of that, the company has stated that the remake will be a "big one", which opens up countless possibilities for what it could actually be. However, some evidence has pointed to Legend of Dragoon being Bluepoint's PS5 remake, which would certainly check all the boxes for a major project. Bluepoint has even gone so far as to say that its next remake will be the "achievement we're most proud of", meaning its next game will likely be something very special.

The other obvious answer would be a remake of Demon Souls, which Bluepoint has also been teasingDemon Souls is, arguably, the more notable game of the two, especially after the success that the various Soulsborne franchises have enjoyed over the past few years. A Demon Souls remake, especially from a company as talented with remakes as Bluepoint, would undoubtedly be well-received by the wider gaming audience, though that's not to say that fans wouldn't love to play through an updated version of Legend of Dragoon.

Either way, it's great to see the company be legitimately passionate about the project it's working on, especially if it feels that it will be its greatest achievement. If the project is even a fraction as good as some of Bluepoint's other remakes currently on the market, then it should offer numerous improvements while staying true to the original design. Reviews of the Shadow of The Colossus PS4 remake were almost universally positive, and hopefully, the next game will continue that trend.

Whether Bluepoint's remake winds up being Demon Souls, Legend of Dragoon, or something entirely different, it's exciting to know that the PS5 is already getting a healthy line up of games. With rumors circulating that Spider-Man 2 may release in 2021, fans everywhere should get excited about what else may be released for the console.
