With or without a new title from developer FromSoftware, the older catalogue of games from Dark Souls to Bloodborne still continue to inspire fans to make impressive art. Recently, one fan took inspiration from Bloodborne in particular in order to create an incredible tribute to one of the final bosses in the game.

This latest piece of fan art comes from Reddit user Gnomi3e, who originally posted an animation to the Bloodborne subreddit. Additionally, the artist appears to have also given fans a way to turn this animation into a wallpaper, which gives PC players a small way to enjoy the game's art when not on console.

The animation made by Gnomi3e is a short loop that shows the player character, the hunter in Bloodborne, getting ready to face off against the secret final boss of the game, the Moon Presence. In this short loop, the Moon Presence floats in the air, with its tentacles shifting and flailing across that moon that acts as the backdrop of the art piece. Similarly, the hunter can also be seen moving in a steady, breath-like rhythm, preparing for the upcoming fight against the deadly nightmare that has been acting as the driving force for the entire game.

Many fans coming to see this impressive animation of the Bloodborne Moon Presence commented on the original Reddit post to see if this could be turned into a wallpaper to be used on their PCs. Considering that the animation already looks like it could be a dynamic theme for Bloodborne, it's understandable that players might be interested in seeing this become a usable wallpaper. In response, Gnomi3e actually did make the animation available through Wallpaper Engine on Steam. Fans can find the wallpaper version of this animation here.

With Bloodborne still not on PC, the best way for players on the platform to continue to appreciate the game is through this type of intricate artwork or mods created for other FromSoftware titles. Still, the passion of fans can make impressive bounds to create pieces like the art of Gnomi3e and others who have been inspired by the Eldritch theme of the game. This continued love of the game likely won't get Bloodborne ported or updated for next-gen consoles, but hopefully this consistent attention might lead to a larger series. For now, the more artistically inclined fans will at least be able to make more of this incredible artwork for others to enjoy, share, and support.

Bloodborne is available now for PS4.
