Video game fans can be pretty creative. It feels like amazing artwork of popular characters is always popping up, from basic sketches to incredible pieces of Star Fox fan art from God of War's concept artist. Now, a fan of Bloodborne has imagined the game in a modern setting with some incredible art.

The artwork, posted on Twitter, imagines various Bloodborne enemies in 2020, with some of the game's most iconic foes making an appearance. The blend of Bloodborne's horror and modern imagery is surprisingly compelling. The idea of battling Bloodborne's most powerful enemies on a subway or on top of a modern rooftop is interesting. If anything, it makes the idea of a modern Souls game all the more appealing.

Bloodborne has earned a reputation as one of the best PS4-exclusive games out there, so it's great to see a fan honor it with amazing artwork. Fans have been hoping for a sequel, and while there have been a few leaks of Bloodborne 2, nothing concrete has emerged. However, fans would certainly love to see another game make its way to the PlayStation 5, Sony's next-generation console. While one can hope that a new title is on the way, it's really impossible to say.

With a PS5 reveal rumored for February, it's possible there will be news of a Bloodborne sequel. The PlayStation 5 would certainly be a good home for the game, and there's no telling how much sharper improved power could make a sequel look. Fans have been longing for something Bloodborne related for some time now, though there's no telling if they'll actually get their wish.

With at least one PlayStation exclusive game rumored to be coming to PC,  it's possible fans on other platforms may get the chance to give Bloodborne a try, if more wind up releasing there. Opening up the game to a larger audience would certainly be wonderful to see. It's worth checking out for any fans Dark Souls or Sekiro, but those without a PS4 have been unable to. The Gothic influences make the game pretty distinct from other titles out there, not to mention how atmospheric it is. Hopefully, fans will get their hands on some major new Bloodborne information sometime soon. Maybe this artwork will even help nudge From Software and Sony in a bold new direction.

Bloodborne is available now for PS4.
