Kirkhammer - A Trick weapon with an extreme dual nature. From its Longsword form, which deals righteous damage, it transforms into a powerful Great Hammer. It has the most powerful two-hit combo in Bloodborne at +10 with the right gem setup.

It's on a corpse in a waterway where a Maneater Boar dwells at Central Yharnam. It can be quickly accessed through a ladder near the shortcut elevator and the bridge towards the Tomb of Odeon, where hunters meet Father Gascoigne.

9 Radiant Hunter Badge

A Key Item that's missed by refusing to explore Old Yharnam, an optional area in Bloodborne. It unlocks the following useful items, which will make many areas more manageable:

Ludwig's Holy Blade - A Trick weapon that transforms into a Greatsword from its Longsword form. being a Church weapon, it deals Righteous Damage to the enemies of the church. It's among the most powerful weapons Bloodborne.

Ludwig's Rifle - A Firearm that is deadly at close range. With its long range and high damage, it's the best Blunderbuss for hunters with low Bloodtinge.

Flamesprayer - A left-hand weapon that melts Beast-type enemies for 1 Quicksilver Bullet per 3 ticks. What's great about the Flamesprayer is that it remains highly effective even with low Arcane.

Blood Stone Shard - A material used to upgrade Weapons and Firearms from 0 to +3.

• Defeat the Blood-Starved Beast of Old Yharnam to open the doors on the right side of the Cathedral Ward.

• From the Cathedral Ward lamp, go through the right doors and take the elevator. A three-story tower can be seen right outside the room. Proceed to the top floor to find the chest containing the badge.

8 Spark Hunter Badge

The Spark Hunter Badge in Bloodborne

It's said to be among the least useful badges, but it unlocks the following items that are highly effective against Kin-type and ethereal enemies:

Tonitrus - A Trick weapon that deals Blunt damage and a little Bolt Damage to the enemies. Instead of transforming, it can only be charged with electricity increasing its Bolt Damage.

Bolt Paper - A consumable used to buff Trick weapons with 80 bold damage. It lasts for 60 seconds.

How To Get The Spark Hunter Badge

Defeat the Blood-Starved Beast of Old Yharnam.

Get kidnapped by the Kidnapper lurking at the right corner outside the Cathedral Ward. This is the only way to gain early access to Hypogean Gaol. A small area that's part of Yahar'gul, Unseen Village that's available much later.

Find the Hypogean Gaol lamp, and light it up. Or else, hunters will have to fight 2 Bosses to enter the area again.

• Defeat Darkbeast Paarl. The beast can be found through a small opening at the far backside of the upper cell chamber where hunters will find 2 Kidnappers, 2 Eye Collectors, and Huntsmen gathering.

7 Powder Keg Hunter Badge

Hunters will have to meet Djura, a legendary hunter who has sworn to protect the people turned beasts in Old Yharnam, to get this badge. It unlocks the following items:

Rifle Spear - A Trick weapon that mainly deals Thrust Damage. It reveals the Rifle, with the blade as a bayonet, when transformed. It has the same spread as Hunter Blunderbuss and consumes 1 QuickSilver bullet per shot.

Stake Driver - A short Trick weapon that's fast and best at close-range combat. It has a powerful charged attack that can deplete a huge amount of health to bosses with a single shot—when fully upgraded and with the right gem setup.

Rope Molotov Cocktail - A consumable used to throw behind to deal fire damage. It's perfect to use when being pursued by Beast-type enemies.

Oil Urn - A consumable used to throw at an enemy before doing a Fire attack, the Fire Damage will then be roughly doubled.

Finding Old Yharnam

From the Cathedral Ward lamp, choose the left path and head straight to a church. Find the side entrance, which is at the top of the stairs on the left of the church. Enter the church, make a right and pull the lever. The stone coffin in the church will reveal hidden the path that leads to Old Yharnam.

There are two ways to get the badge, and hunters must choose one:

Befriending Djura

• Defeat the Blood-Starved Beast of Old Yharnam.

• Defeat Darkbeast Paarl of Hypogean Gaol.

• From the Graveyard of the Darkbeast lamp, find the way back to the tower where Djura is. Don't kill any beast or hunter along the way.

Talk to Djura and choose the option: 'Spare the beasts of Old Yharnam'.

Defeating Djura

In Old Yharnam, find the ladder leading towards the top of the tower where Djura shoots with his Gatling Gun and defeat him.

6 Crowhunter Badge

The Crow Hunter Badge in Bloodborne

It unlocks the following items that Eileen the Crow, a hunter sworn to kill blood-drunk hunters, uses:

Blade of Mercy - A Trick weapon with incredible speed but deals low damage. It transforms into 2 blades that quickly melts the enemy's health through continuous rapid attacks.

Crowfeather Set - An Armor Set that features high Physical Defense and Blood resistance, but low resistance with other Elemental attacks.

How To Get The Crow Hunter Badge

Eileen the Crow's questline is considered to be missable because there are things hunters must do to trigger events for Eileen to appear somewhere. And oftentimes, hunters who don't explore will completely miss out on this. Hunters can choose one of the two ways to get the badge:

Finishing Eileen the Crow's Questline

Talk to Eileen at a balcony that can be accessed through the rafters in the Main Sewer entrance of Central Yharnam. As the hunters enter the area, the entrance to the rafters is hidden by destructible coffins and barrels on the right side of the stairs.

Open all of the gates in the Cathedral Ward for Eileen to appear. These are the Plaza Gate, Main Gate, and Shortcut Gate. Hunters can choose to defeat the Blood-Starved Beast of Old Yharnam or purchase the Hunter Chief Emblem for 10,000 Blood Echoes to open the gates. Talk to Eileen right outside the Cathedral Ward before heading down to the Tomb of Oedon.

• It's important to head down to the Tomb of Odeon before entering the Forbidden Woods. Or else Henryk and Eileen will disappear, and hunters will make an enemy out of Eileen.

• After triggering the Blood Moon phase by talking to Yharnam, the Pthumerian Queen, after defeating Rom in Byrgenworth (one of the worst areas in Bloodborne)—head to the Grand Cathedral from the Cathedral Ward lamp.

• If hunters have skipped Eileen's quest on defeating Henryk, they'll have to fight Eileen. If hunters managed to defeat Henryk, they'll face the Bloody Crow of Cainhurst, one of the hardest non-boss enemies. Defeat either of them to get the badge.

Letting Henryk Kill Eileen Or Finishing Her Off

After opening all of the gates in the Cathedral Ward, talk to Eileen and go straight down to the Tomb of Odeon where Henryk awaits.

• Hunters can use the 12 poison knives they'll find if they explore the Cathedral Ward, which is highly effective against Henryk. Defeat Henryk and finish off Eileen

• Or attack Eileen while she's fighting Henryk. Hunters can either pick the badge, die to Henryk, and progress through the game completely ignoring him. Or defeat Henryk alone as an early game challenge.

5 Cosmic Eye Watcher Badge

The Cosmic Eye Badge in Bloodborne

A must-have badge before exploring the Nightmare of Mensis or the DLC. It unlocks the following items that will allow hunters to get more creative in their hunt:

Rosmarinus - A left-hand weapon that uses 1 Quicksilver Bullets per 3 ticks of Arcane Damage. Unlike the Flamesprayer, it needs a high level of Arcane to deal more damage.

Twin Blood Stone Shards - A material used to upgrade weapons and Firearms from +3 to +6.

Blue Elixir - A consumable used to make hunters partially invisible to the enemies. It lasts for 30 seconds. It's recommended to walk while using this item so the enemies will remain clueless about a hunter's presence.

Beast Blood Pellet - A consumable used to activate the Beasthood effect. Hunters must kill multiple enemies to fill the bar. It should be used with caution because it increases Physical Damage while decreasing Physical Defense.

Poison Knife - A consumable that deals Slow Poison Damage on enemies. Highly effective against Wet Nurse, Living Failures, Henryk, and the infamous Abhorrent Beast.

How To Get the Cosmic Eye Hunter Badge

Defeat the Blood-Starved Beast of Old Yharnam to open the right door of the Cathedral Ward to open the path towards the Upper Cathedral Ward.

Retrieve the Upper Cathedral Ward Key in Yahar'gul, Unseen Village. Then proceed to unlock the Upper Cathedral Ward door at the top floor of the three-story tower.

Proceed to the Great Hall of the Upper Cathedral Ward where a chandelier falls to the floor. The badge is on a corpse at the right narrow hall guarded by a brainsucker.

4 Cainhurst Badge

The Cainhurst Badge in Bloodborne

A must-have badge for hunters with Bloodtinge builds. Many common enemies in Bloodborne have low Blood resistance. It unlocks the following items that scale with Bloodtinge:

Chikage - A Trick weapon that deals Rapid Poison and powerful Blood Damage to the enemies while draining the hunter's health when transformed.

Reiterpallasch - A Trick weapon that deals Thrust Damage and a powerful charged attack when fully charged. It transforms into a Parthian Rapier that can be used for parrying.

Evelyn - A Firearm that deals massive damage the higher the Bloodtinge level. It consumes 1 Quicksilver Bullet per shot; although it is only second to the Repeating Pistol.

Numbing Mist - A consumable that prevents enemies from healing for around 30 seconds. It's handy when facing Vicar Amelia, Bloody Crow of Cainhurst, and other enemies who can heal.

Cainhurst Set - An Armor Set that offers good Physical Defense and Blood Damage resistance.

How To Get The Cainhurst Badge

Finding the Forsaken Cainhurst Castle

Find the path to Iosefka's Clinic through a hidden cave in the Forbidden Woods. The path to the hidden cave is right behind the first house near the dog cages of the Upper Village in the Forbidden Woods.

• In the hidden cave, stay on the right side of the poison pool to find the ladder. Climb up all the way to reach Central Yharnam and proceed to the left gate. Go straight down ahead, find a ladder towards the roof that leads to an entrance to Iosefka's Clinic.

• Make a right once inside Iosefka's Clinic to find the room with the Cainhurst Summons on a patient bed. Open the door near the Celestial Minion to find the 1st Sickroom lamp.

• Hunters must first defeat the Witches of Hemwick in Hemwick Charnel Lane. If already defeated, go to the Witch's Abode lamp. From the Witch's Abode, head down to the obelisk guarded by two Executioners to get transported to the Forsaken Cainhurst Castle—among the best areas in Bloodborne.

Defeating Martyr Logarius to find Annalise, Queen of Vilebloods

Defeat Martyr Logarius in Forsaken Cainhurst Castle and wear the Crown of Illusions. Stand before the wall behind Logarius' Seat to reveal the secret he has been guarding.

Meet Annalise, Queen of Vilebloods and kneel before her. Choose the option 'Swear Oath to the Vilebloods' to get the badge.

3 Wheel Hunter Badge

The Wheel Hunter Badge in Bloodborne

It's dropped by Alfred, Hunter of Vilebloods, upon successfully executing his mission. It unlocks the following items:

Logarius' Wheel - A Trick weapon that comes with very handy S Strength Scaling, that can be swapped to S Arcane when transformed. It deals Righteous Damage in both forms.

Gold Ardeo - An Armor piece that has the highest bold and thrust resistance among the headpieces. It belongs to the Executioner set, among the best Armor Sets in the game.

How To Get The Wheel Hunter Badge

• After defeating Martyr Logarius in the Forsaken Cainhurst Castle, uncovering his guarded secret through wearing the Crown of Illusions, and meeting Annalise, Queen of Vilebloods—explore the right side of Vileblood Queen's Chamber to find the Unopened Summons on a table.

• From the Cathedral Ward lamp, choose the left path and proceed to the Cathedral Plaza. Find the path towards the Forbidden Woods behind the Church Giant at the left side of the plaza.

Give Alfred the Unopened Summons. Go back to the Hunter's Dream and visit Annalise at the Vileblood Queen's Chamber.

• After witnessing Alfred's triumph, go back to the Cathedral Ward lamp. From there, choose the left path towards the church that leads to Old Yharnam. Instead of entering through the main entrance of the church, make a left, climb the stairs to find the side entrance. Go to the altar behind the church to find Alfred and get the badge.

2 Firing Hammer Badge

The Firing Hammer Badge in Bloodborne

Hunters don't need to kill bosses to get this badge. It unlocks the following items at the Bath Messengers:

Piercing Rifle - A Firearm that pierces through the enemies, hitting the enemies behind them as well, for 1 Quicksilver Bullet per shot. It's not suitable for parrying because of its slow recovery speed.

Delayed Molotov - A consumable used to throw in front of the hunter to deal Fire Damage to the enemies. It explodes after 3 seconds.

Delayed Rope Molotov - A consumable used to throw behind the hunter to deal Fire Damage to the pursuing enemies. It explodes after 3 seconds.

How To Get The Firing Hammer Badge

Entering the Old Hunters DLC

• If hunters have purchased the DLC, they need to defeat Vicar Amelia to receive the Eye of a Blood-drunk Hunter from the messengers in the Hunter's Dream.

• From the Cathedral Ward lamp, choose the left path and go behind the tombstones near a tree. Hunters need to wait for the Lesser Amygdala to grab and transport them to the Hunter's Nightmare of the Old Hunters DLC.

Finding and defeating the Bestial Hunter

• From the Hunter's Nightmare lamp, take the stone pathway outside at the right side of the area. Find the path towards the stairs leading to the Nightmare Grand Cathedral. There's a cave on the right side of the upper stairs.

• Further down the path after the cave is a darklit house. Enter the house and go down the stairs. Make a left to exit the house and go through an open gate to find the Bestial Hunter wielding a Beast Roar (one of the best Hunter Tools in Bloodborne). Poison Knives can help in defeating him.

1 Old Hunter Badge

The last badge hunters will get in Bloodborne. It unlocks the following items used by Gehrman, the First Hunter:

Burial Blade - A Trick weapon that transforms into a large scythe. It has a long reach and a more fluid moveset when compared to the Hunter Axe. It has a high Rally potential and deals Thrust Damage in scythe mode. It scales with Skill—it's among the best Skill weapons in the game.

Gehrman's Hunter Set - An Armor set that offers low protection. But many hunters choose to wear it in honor of Gehrman.

How To Get The Old Hunters Badge

Defeat all of the following mandatory bosses to trigger the fight with Gehrman:

• Father Gascoigne in Central Yharnam

• Vicar Amelia in Grand Cathedral

• Shadows of Yharnam in the Forbidden Woods

• Rom, the Vacuous Spider in Byrgenworth

• Micolash, Host of the Nightmare in Nightmare of Mensis
