It seems that turning video games into a TV show is currently in vogue, and while it's not always a successful endeavor, many fans of Bloober's title will no doubt be keen to see how it translates to the small screen.
When it launched last year, The Medium became one of 2021's best horror games, up there with the likes of Chernobylite, Little Nightmares 2, Returnal, and Resident Evil Village. It was particularly noteworthy for its split-screen gameplay mechanics, in which players would control Marianne in two separate worlds at the same time. While it did receive pretty favorable reviews, some fans were concerned about the way the studio handled the subject of mental illness, though in general the game has been praised for taking cues from classic survival horror titles like Silent Hill.
