BlizzCon, the other happiest place on Earth, will have tickets for attendance going on sale in two separate waves starting May 21 at 10am and then on May 25 at 7pm. Scrounge your moneys together while you have the chance, because there is no doubt whatsoever that these tickets will vanish within a short time of them being made available.
Tickets for BlizzCon 2011 will run at $175. This year, Blizzard will also be hosting the BlizzCon Benefit Dinner (occurring October 20), giving those who opt to pay $500 (all proceeds will be going to the Children's Hospital of Orange County) the chance to wine and dine with Blizzard employees before all the madness during the convention.
For those who don't want to make the long trek to Anaheim, CA, Blizzard is also partnering with DirecTV once again with the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket ($39.99) and will allow people to experience the event in glorious HD on their TV or on the internet.
The event will be running from October 21-22 at the Anaheim Convention Center, Blizzard's venue of choice for the past 6 years, and will feature all things that Blizzard has their hands on: Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo. Unfortunately, no word yet on anything related to The Lost Vikings.
BlizzCon has been the stage for Blizzard to make all kinds of announcements regarding their various franchises. Last year, the Demon Hunter class for Diablo III was revealed, Diablo III PvP multiplayer was talked about, and of course, who can't forget the guy who inspired the Wildhammer Fact Checker?
Obviously, Blizzard will have a thing or two to reveal at this year's show, and seeing as how Diablo III is the new "gotta know everything about it" game for them, it wouldn't be too foolish to think Blizzard will finally announce an official release date for the RPG. In addition, they might have an official comment regarding the potential of Diablo III coming to consoles.
BlizzCon will be taking place at the Anaheim Convention Center from October 21-22. For more information about the event, visit the official website.
