The biggest and greatest convention for Blizzard fans is returning this October. The 5th annual BlizzCon is lined up to celebrate everything WarCraft, StarCraft, and Diablo, plus maybe a little Lost Vikings. The two-day event will include a variety of Q&A panels with Blizzard employees, tournaments and social occasions for gamers like you and I, and hopefully some hands-on with Blizzard's upcoming games.

Gamers that are interested in purchasing tickets to the Anaheim Convention Center based BlizzCon will have to wait. A date for tickets to go on sale has yet to be announced, but Blizzard has said you'll need a Battle.net account, and that tickets will only be made available for online sale. Keep your eye on the BlizzCon website for more information, because tickets will likely be sold out within hours of release.

Last year's BlizzCon gave gamers the first public access to StarCraft 2's single player campaign, and a first-hand viewing of the World of WarCraft: Cataclysm expansion. So what will Blizzard be showing off this year? Well, this all random speculation, but I'm still hoping there's an announcement for Blizzard's new MMO, based on a new intellectual propert. Then there's likely to be some hands on with StarCraft 2, Diablo 3, and Cataclysm, which will each be decently far into development.

This BlizzCon is shaping up to be the best one yet! Anyone going to purchase tickets? Anyone want to buy one for me as well? No? Damnit.
