Xbox has teamed up with Marvel Studios to offer fans a chance to win a custom Xbox Series X inspired by Marvel Studios' Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. To celebrate the upcoming release of the latest installment to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a number of Black Panther inspired prizes including an Xbox Series X are up for grabs by completing a special Black Panther challenge.
Black Panther opened in 2018 to critical and commercial acclaim, becoming Marvel's top solo superhero film of all time, grossing a worldwide total of $1.347 billion. Chadwick Boseman starred as the Wakandan superhero, King T'challa, and the popularity and success of Black Panther prompted Marvel Studios to quickly capitalize on Boseman's beloved character and green light a sequel. However, due to the unfortunate death of Boseman to cancer in 2020, Marvel announced that it would not recast the T'Challa role and would instead use Black Panther: Wakanda Forever to pay tribute to the late star.
To commemorate the November 11 release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Xbox has kicked off a competition which offers fans a chance to win one of five ultimate Wakanda Forever-inspired packages. Among the prizes up for grabs is a custom Marvel Studios' Black Panther: Wakanda Forever-inspired Xbox Series X, matching controllers, and a set of replica Kimoyo beads. Fans are invited to join the fight for Wakanda and prove their inner strength by completing a memory challenge on Xbox's website to unlock a chance to win the custom Xbox Series X.
Both the Xbox Series X and the two controllers are adorned with the iconic gold and white Black Panther patterning and embossed with the Marvel Studios' Black Panther: Wakanda Forever logo. Xbox's website also offers a free downloadable wallpaper to "Show your support for Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" which is compatible with a range of devices. Alongside this, fans can enjoy a competition launch video showcasing the custom Series X console, as well as the film's official trailer, and an opportunity to code their own Black Panther mini-game.
With the unquestionable success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the popularity of Xbox's next gen Series X console, fans will be excited to test their skills to be in with a chance to win a truly unique and iconic version of the console.
