The following article contains spoilers for Black Panther: Wakanda ForeverIt’s become customary for Marvel Studios to celebrate the addition of each new hero to its massive lineup so, unsurprisingly, there’s some new poster art featuring the MCU's new Black Panther in Wakanda Forever.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever tackled the massive endeavor of honoring Chadwick Boseman while also introducing his replacement in the MCU, who turned out to be T'Challa's sister, Shuri. The reveal was something most Marvel fans had noticed early on, not only due to Shuri picking up the mantle in the Black Panther comics but also because the trailer left little room for doubt that it was indeed Letitia Wright the one under that mask.

As for the official poster, the image shared by Marvel Studios shows an unmasked Shuri doing the iconic Wakandan salute and also gives one of the better looks at her Black Panther suit so far. Contrary to most shots from the trailers, which feature very dark scenery and the relative lack of detail in merchandising, this poster does allow fans to appreciate the gold detailing on her costume. This design separates Shuri's Black Panther costume from the purple highlights that were associated with Boseman's character.

So far, every new MCU character always gets an official presentation after they assume a new identity. This was the case when Sam Wilson became the new Captain America. Although fans have mostly welcomed Wright's new role, there are still some who insist it would have been better to recast T'Challa and allow for the character’s MCU story to continue as it was laid before Boseman's passing.

One thing that surely stands out from Shuri's costume is the similarity between her Black Panther outfit and that of Killmonger's in the first movie, as both heavily use gold in what is perhaps a hint to the role Shuri's cousin plays on her personal journey. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever reviews have been mostly positive if unspectacular, but box office attendance doesn’t seem to care much, as the film continues drawing in crowds for a $546.3 million haul worldwide.

Shuri's next appearance in the MCU might not be easy to predict, as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever did a lot of setup work for Phase Five. However, projects that appear to be connected to the events in Black Panther 2 include Ironheart, Captain America: New World Order, and Thunderbolts.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is currently available in theaters.
