Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is the highly anticipated sequel to the critically and commercially acclaimed Black Panther film. The sequel follows the events of Avengers: Endgame and will introduce Namor the Sub-Mariner to the MCU, with Tenoch Huerta playing the role.

Black Panther was originally played by the late Chadwick Boseman, who was loved by many people around the world. Whether it was fans, co-workers, or loved ones, there was no limit to how many lives the actor touched during his time here. Wakanda Forever is meant to be a way to honor the life work of Boseman and a way to honor the legacy he leaves behind. The original film's director, Ryan Coogler, returns to direct the sequel but at one point considered leaving filmmaking altogether.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to bring in many new power players, including Dominique Thorne's Ironheart and Huerta's Namor, who will be changing the MCU as a whole in the upcoming projects they're a part of. Both characters are arguably top-tier in terms of power levels, as both possess the ability to rival some of Marvel's heavy hitters, including the Hulk. During an interview with Marvel, Coogler went on to discuss the extent of Namor's abilities. “[There’s] no equal in terms of his capabilities, being able to breathe underwater and breathe at high altitudes and walk around on land. He’s incredibly strong, he’s as strong as Thor, and if he’s around enough water he can be as strong as the Hulk," Coogler said.

Namor (Black Panther 2)

Namor is a force to be reckoned with. He has had a conflicted history when it comes to his moral alignment as Namor is not a hero or a villain. The character fights for his people and his people only which can end up going against certain parties. "Here is a man who believes 100% that he is the hero in his own story,” Producer Nate Moore adds. “He doesn’t see himself as a villain because in Namor’s eyes what he is doing he's doing to protect a people who have already made it through a tragic history."

The approach the director took is very fair, as it'll be up to fans to see how they view the character. Namor is fighting for what's right for his people, so it's clear he's not a ruthless villain like the Joker. Namor will stand against anyone who gets in his way as long as he gets his people to where he needs to go. It's unclear where Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will take Namor and if it'll usher in the X-Men since Huerta confirmed that Namor is a mutant. Marvel Studios' saving the reveal of the famous group for a later date, and when it happens, fans will be more than receptive.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is now playing in theaters.
