Although it is extremely rare, some glitches have been known to shape franchises into the games that their fans have come to love today. Some can be frustrating or annoying, while others lead to amusing situations for those involved. The most recent glitch in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is no exception, as one Blackout match began with the last circle closing in on its players.

Although Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 released only a few months ago, the popular first-person shooter has seen its fair share of bugs and glitches. While most have been minor, few have been as unexpected or entertaining to watch as this one. Instead of having the option to choose where to land and find loot, 100 players were thrust into a Blackout match that was already ending.

However, only about half of the lobby actually landed in the last circle. The other half, oblivious to the game's glitch, attempted to land outside of the circle and were quickly killed by the zone. A select few were lucky enough to find a weapon, but the Reddit user who uploaded the video wasn't so lucky.

Like all popular battle royales, Blackout is designed in a way that the map gets smaller as the outer zone closes in. Also like popular battle royales, the game is prone to various glitches. Fortnite fans have surely experienced their fair share of glitches, including a bug that made a certain skin invisible to other players.

While a few bugs and glitches are expected, some completely break the game and make for a frustrating experience overall. A glitch found in Blackout by Twitch streamer Dr Disrespect three months ago is an adequate example of this, as he discovered that players could shoot through a specific rock on the map. Although glitches to that extent are fairly uncommon, they are exceedingly discouraging and can easily give a game a bad reputation.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
