Inspired by genre juggernauts like PUBG and Fortnite, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has thrown its hat in the battle royale arena with its Blackout mode. Like other battle royale games, chaos reigns in Blackout, leading to some impressive kills and plenty of funny moments.

Since Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's launch last week, many Twitch streamers have jumped into Blackout to see what all the fuss is about, creating plenty of these memorable moments in the process. Here are the best Black Ops 4 Blackout kills and moments for Week 1.

Ninja Trapped Underneath Truck

Twitch streamers Shroud and Ninja were driving a cargo truck, one of the four vehicles available in the Blackout battle royale mode, when the vehicle flipped over and caught fire. Shroud was able to escape, but Ninja was pinned underneath the flaming truck, and then something flat-out weird happened.

Death By Supply Drop

Like other battle royale games, Black Ops 4's Blackout has supply drops that periodically drop from the sky, giving players the opportunity to collect some especially powerful weapons and items if they manage to loot it. Streamer Seagull found out the hard way that even though these boxes can be very helpful, they can also be dangerous, especially when rolling downhill.

Victory Via Combat Axe

The Blackout battle royale map is full of references to past Black Ops games, from its inclusion of Nuketown and Firing Range to the Zombies mystery box and more. It also features some popular weapons from past Black Ops titles, like the Combat Axe, which functions exactly like the tomahawk from the first Black Ops. Getting a Combat Axe kill in Blackout is challenging and rewarding, especially when it's the last kill in the game.

Grapple Through the Flames

Considering the sheer number of players involved in any given battle royale match, getting a victory is no easy feat, and so the ends of matches are especially intense and exciting. In the above clip, we see MOONMOON_OW use the grappling hook to grapple through flames and earn the victory right after his teammate was downed.

Swift and Deadly

Don't underestimate the stopping power of the combat axe. As can be seen in the clip above, it can be one of the deadliest weapons in the game in the right hands, and we imagine it will be part of many famous Black Ops 4 Blackout clips in the future.
