Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has only been out for nearly two weeks, and despite some controversy surrounding it and publisher Activision, the game has been enjoying a phenomenal success, making $500 million in its opening weekend alone. That being said, the shooter has still suffered from some slight criticism from players, particularly in regards to its recently added Black Market system on the PS4 version. However, developer Treyarch has already got on top of the problems, and recently made several updates to the game.

On the official Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Reddit page, Treyarch admitted that the "earn rate for unlocking Black Market Tiers did not perform as [it] intended", and the studio has adjusted it so players will now earn Tier progression much more quickly and consistently across all modes of play in Blackout and Multiplayer. Treyarch further clarified that these adjustments will be "an ongoing process to dial it into exactly where it needs to be," even promising online earn rate accelerators and Tier Skip rewards in future updates.

Treyarch also stated that it has now completed the first phase of planned changes to network configuration in certain locations. The developer won't be making any new updates until it's certain that the current phase is working as expected:

"It’s important that we roll out updates in a carefully staged process, as changes to networking infrastructure can potentially produce both positive and negative effects, and we need to monitor every update closely. The stability and performance of the game for the entire community is always our top priority, and we’re continuing to work to sustain the smooth performance of the game’s launch throughout its opening weeks."

The above quote is consistent with what Treyarch wrote in a previous Reddit post. To be specific, it confirmed that the PC version of BLOPS 4 would have its frame rate initially capped at launch but will be gradually improved throughout the title's lifespan.

In addition to all this, a new Featured playlist was included with the latest Call of Duty: Black ops 4 update. Titled "Mercenary Capture Moshpit," it includes 5v5 Domination, Hardpoint, and Control with no Parties allowed, and will be put on a rotation with new playlists in the future. A full comprehensive list of other updates and tweaks that have been made can be found in the link at the bottom of the page.
