Activision releases a star-studded live action trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 that features Michael B. Jordan, Cara Delevingne, and Marshawn Lynch.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is mere days away from release, and the Activision marketing machine is as aggressive as ever, aiming to save the series from the declining sales it suffered for the last few years. This effort has included an epic launch trailer, as well as a trailer dedicated to the popular Nuketown map, but the latest trailer for the game is perhaps the most amusing yet.

The latest trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is live action, and stars Michael B. Jordan (known for his roles in Fantastic Four and The Wire) as he humorously narrates the exploits of an extremely skilled Call of Duty player named Kevin.

Kevin's skills allow him to battle a variety of enemies with ease, even showing up Marshawn Lynch, who also makes an appearance in the trailer. The "Seize Glory" live action trailer for Black Ops 3 ends with the introduction of Cara Delevingne, an actress that will be starring in 2016's Suicide Squad film as DC comics character Enchantress.

While the trailer doesn't show any actual gameplay, it does illustrate some of what players can expect from the final game. For example, it shows Kevin and Marshawn Lynch battling against zombies, the enemies that will appear in the Shadows of Evil mode, and it also makes sure to highlight Kevin's ability to run on walls, a major gameplay mechanic in the actual game. So, while the live action trailer doesn't show any actual gameplay, it still does a decent job of relaying various features and gameplay mechanics that will be in Black Ops 3.

Even though these live action trailers usually avoid showing any gameplay whatsoever, they do a good job of appealing to those that would otherwise not necessarily bother with gaming. By stuffing them with celebrities (as we also saw in the recent Madden NFL 16 live action trailer), it broadens the appeal of the game even further, and these live action trailers probably pay dividends for studios once the game launches.
