Black Friday deals leak online, showing both Microsoft and Sony planning to offer consoles bundles at deep discounts both online and in stores on Black Friday.
Now that Halloween has come and gone, people around the country are anxiously awaiting Thanksgiving. But for many gamers, there’s another important day in November: Black Friday. With the biggest sale day right around the corner, some big deals have already started to leak to the public.
Among the most notable are deals for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. At least three retailers – Sam’s Club, Dell, and eBay – are offering Black Friday console deals for $249 to $299 that will be hard to pass up, even for casual gamers.
The deals come by way of BestBlackFriday, and show a smattering of options for gamers to choose from. Sam’s Club has the most options available at the moment, with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One S deals that include game bundles and extra controllers. Dell is offering an Xbox One bundle, and eBay a PS4 Slim bundle. The full list of upcoming Black Friday deals can be seen below.
- 500GB PlayStation 4 Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Bundle for $249
- 500GB PlayStation 4 Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End bundle for $249
- 500GB Xbox One S Battlefield 1 (download) Bundle w/extra controller for $249
- 500GB Xbox One S Minecraft (download) Bundle w/extra controller for $249
- 500GB Xbox One bundle with Battlefield 1 and Gears of War 4 w/Extra controller for $299 (online exclusive)
It’s not surprising to see Sony offering a major discount on the PlayStation 4 with the PS4 Pro launching this month. With a new console available, the legacy PlayStation 4 will need to be available at a substantial discount in order to maintain sales of that device.
As for the Xbox One S, it’s a little surprising to see it drop to $249 for Black Friday, but considering the competition of the PS4 Pro, it seems Microsoft is looking to hold onto its current status for best selling console the last few months. Additionally, two of the Xbox One bundles will have recently released games, Battlefield 1 and Gears of War 4, while PlayStation is offering last year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and the PlayStation exclusive Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. It’s not surprising to see both consoles offer both a generic game bundle and an exclusive game bundle.
Since it’s still just the beginning of November, there’s a good chance the list of Black Friday console deals will grow. The above deals will likely be made available at other big box stores, along with other exclusive deals reserved for each retailer. There’s little doubt gamers will have plenty of options to choose from come November 25th.
