The world of Biomutant is filled with secrets, mysteries, and doors that will need to be pried open. Fortunately for players, they will be given a crowbar at the start of the game that will assist them in doing just that. Like many other useful tools in the game, the crowbar can be upgraded to deal with some of the tougher doors in the game. This can be important for getting access to some of Biomutant's ultimate weapons.

Upgrading the crowbar in Biomutant is quite simple, but players will need to track down a specific NPC called Pebble first. Pebble can be found near an area called Knack Hill, which is just beside the Sknapptrutt Outpost. He lives in a small cave area in a cliff face between the outpost and the Deadzone to the west.

After finding Pebble and speaking with him, players will get access to a new quest called Prioritizing Pebble. For this quest, Pebble will want players to test out three climbing routes. The first is directly behind Pebble, so players can get that one finished straight away. After that, they need to travel to the two other waypoints and climb both routes. They are quite easy, with no real secrets or surprises to them. All the climbing routes are in safe spots, so players won't even need to spawn their Mektons to stay safe.

Once players have finished the three climbing routes, they can return to Pebble, who will upgrade their crowbar as a way to say thanks. After that, they will be able to get through the tougher doors without a problem. This is something that players can do quite early in the game if they focus on getting to each waypoint without getting too distracted. When it's complete, they can dive into other activities like finding all the appearance upgrades for the Automaton.

After that, players can spend some time farming Bio Points. The doors they will be opening with their upgraded crowbars will often lead to some dangerous locations, and Bio Points can be spent on important perks and abilities that will help keep players safe or give them the edge in combat.

One thing to keep in mind about upgrading the crowbar in Biomutant is that it will lead to a dialogue choice with Pebble; after they have upgraded the tool, that will result in players earning Dark or Light Aura points. Players looking for Dark points should discourage Pebble, while players looking for Light points should be supportive.

Biomutant is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
