Just yesterday, THQ Nordic and Experiment 101 released a gameplay teaser trailer for the forthcoming action role-playing game Biomutant that showed off several of the title's environments, its varying means of traversal, its combat with enemies, and much more. Now, fresh video of Experiment 101's studio head Stefan Ljungqvist at PC Gamer Weekender 2018 has been published online, with the developer offering even more new details about the game.

As seen below in Ljungqvist's recent developer presentation for Biomutant, the Experiment 101 studio head gives details about the forthcoming title's bionics, which will be various unlockable items earned by providing assistance to certain characters within the game. What's more is that the presentation offers brief clips of gliding wings, a jetpack, a power fist for up close and personal dash attacks, as well as a bow that shoots launching lines onto the side of cliffs so that players can grab onto the rock faces and climb up.

In addition to the aforementioned gameplay features, the Biomutant presentation goes on to include the mention of a mech suit that allows players to survive in what is known as the "Dead Zone," which is an area in the game with no oxygen. The developer also touches on the game's extensive weapon crafting system, its dynamic weather, and distinctive biomes. And perhaps most interestingly, Ljungqvist discusses various character abilities that include psychic powers such as telekinesis, levitation, and even a bullet-deflecting bubble shield.

Taking all of this into account, what's been shown and detailed about Biomutant so far definitely makes the game out to be one that includes a considerable amount of player freedom and unique mechanics, especially when one acknowledges its take on character customization. While there's still certainly more to be learned about Biomutant in the long run, fans can only hope that THQ Nordic and Experiment 101 are able to deliver a product chock full of quality gameplay.

Biomutant is currently in development with a 2018 launch window, and is set to release for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
