Let's face it, you've grown tired of that solid color PSP of yours and you yearn for something a bit more different, something varied, something that will be hard to detect in jungle environments. Worry not, concerned gamers, the Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker "Big Boss" Pack (available for $199.99) will be there to sooth your needs. This limited-edition set, only available through GameStop, will include:

  • Camouflage” PSP-3000 system
  • METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER game on UMD®
  • Voucher for in-game content unlockable early on in the game
  • PlayStation®Network downloadable movie voucher — title to be announced (UMD will be available for Canadian residents)
  • 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duoâ„¢
  • Premium carrying case

The early unlockable content will consist of a camouflage uniform with the FOX logo and a Stealth Gun.

It's so exciting, that even senior vice president of merchandising for GameStop, Bob McKenzie had something to say about it:

"As the leading video game and entertainment software retailer, we saw this as a huge opportunity to offer ultimate Metal Gear Solid fans something truly unique. When coupled with exclusive content like the 'Camouflage' PSP-3000 system and carrying case, the 'Big Boss' Pack is sure to give gaming enthusiasts something to look forward to this summer."

While not an owner of any major portable gaming system, I am still a huge fan of the Metal Gear Solid games and from the things I have seen for it, I would be hard pressed to not at least play the game once. Although, I would be equally hard pressed to buy a $200 gaming device to do so.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker the game and the "Big Boss" pack will be available for your 1974 wartime adventures on June 8, 2010.
