No, Better Call Saul has not been canceled. Now, with that important piece of info out of the way, everybody can unclench and relax while reading about how its lead star is getting lots of love for his birthday. Turning 59 this year, actor and comedian Bob Odenkirk has a lot to be thankful for after a rather turbulent and uncertain few months, and his friends and coworkers spent his big day offering their most heartfelt wishes to their hilarious buddy.

Odenkirk, who suffered a heart attack on the set of Better Call Saul earlier this year, thankfully recovered quickly and returned to work on Better Call Saul in September. But the rest of the cast and crew refused to take his bounce back for granted, offering their most sincere birthday messages when the big day rolled around. Among those who took part were co-stars Rhea Seehorn (Kim Wexler) and Michael McKean (Chuck McGill), both of whom appeared genuinely grateful to have Odenkirk as both a friend and fellow star.

Seehorn was quick to offer her best wishes to one of her "besties" while adding a definitely professionally taken picture of the 2 of them that absolutely wasn't just a candid selfie. McKean went more of a serious route, bidding Odenkirk "not to scare us all like you did last summer and keep havin them birthday [sic]." Finally, producer and director Peter Gould (who has worked on both Better Call Saul and its quote-laden predecessor/sequel Breaking Bad) joined the party with his own well-wishes accompanied by a rather... striking photo of the birthday boy. It's clear that these birthday greetings came from more than just a place of obligation.

Odenkirk stars in Better Call Saul as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer and former con artist just trying to work his way up in the legal world. However, as those who've seen Breaking Bad already know, that endeavor is ill-fated, to say the least. Due to setbacks and other unfortunate circumstances, Jimmy begins to slip away from his original goals in the pursuit of money and clout over the honest practices that used to drive him as a lawyer. He ultimately begins going by "Saul Goodman," slowly beginning to reject the (ironically) good man he used to be.

Aside from Better Call Saul, Odenkirk also recently starred in the John Wick-style action thriller Nobody, marking a surprisingly engaging transition into the rather brutal genre for the usually comedic actor. It's clear that even considering his heart attack over the summer, this is one star who refuses to slow down. His fellow actors know it and so does everyone who continues to enjoy his films.

So here's to Odenkirk on his 59th birthday, and hopefully, there are many more on the horizon. Between Better Call Saul and Nobody, he's one face in Hollywood who's absolutely worth watching. Hey, maybe the show will end where he just so happens to go into business as a contract killer. It's the circle of life.

Better Call Saul season 6 is expected to premiere on AMC in 2022.
