About a week ago, the Fallout and The Elder Scrolls publisher and developer Bethesda got fans ready for its presence at E3 2018 by officially revealing the date and time for its forthcoming showcase during the industry trade show by way of a teaser trailer. Now, it looks as if the studio is not only busy preparing for this year's E3, but also it's in the process of growing its operations, as the company has now announced the decision to open a new branch in Austin, Texas.

According to a press release from Bethesda, the publisher and developer has expressed its desire to expand "development capacity for future titles" by including Austin, Texas' BattleCry Studios as a part of the company. As stated by Bethesda Game Studios' Game Director and Executive Producer, Todd Howard, “As the vision, scale and ambitions for our games continue to grow, so does Bethesda Game Studios. We’ve had the pleasure to know the talented developers at BattleCry and knew we could do great things together.”

For those unaware of BattleCry Studios' pedigree, it was founded toward the end of 2012 and is led by industry veteran and Studio Director Doug Mellencamp, with it having recently assisted id Software with the development of post-launch multiplayer content for the 2016-released first-person shooter DOOM. As far as its future projects are concerned, though, Bethesda and BattleCry have yet to announce the newly incorporated wing's focus for the time being.

About a month ago, Bethesda's Vice President, Pete Hines, stated that the company had two big games in the works before it can start tackling the next entry in one of the studio's most highly anticipated sequels with The Elder Scrolls 6, so the integration of BattleCry will surely help the company manage these projects and more of its ever-growing workflow. All things considered, it will be interesting to see the influence BattleCry has on Bethesda's games from here on out.
