15 Zone Of The Enders: The 2nd Runner: Mars

The original Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner was released for the Playstation 2 in 2003. Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner: Mars is a remastered version of that game made for VR. Both fans of the series and new players can enjoy the fast-paced action of sitting in the pilot seat of a giant mech. Players get to take control of the Orbital Frame Jehuty as they fight against the tyrannical Bahram army to protect both Mars and the Earth.

Zone of the Enders: the 2nd Runner: Mars has amazing graphics that improve the ones from the 2003 game and bring them into the new age of gaming. It can be played on the Valve Index, HTC Vive, and the Oculus Rift.

14 Tale Of Onogoro

The Tale of Onogoro is a visually stunning VR game that combines the elements of both a puzzle game and an action-adventure title. The plot of the game begins almost immediately as the player listens to a confrontation between Haru, a shrine maiden and guide for the player, and the main antagonist, Masatake. Soon after, they are summoned by Haru to her world, a flying landmass called Onogoro Island, and asked to free her.

Throughout the game, the player and Haru work through different environmental puzzles using a Celestial Weapon, a set of guns that the player can use to manipulate objects. They also battle against giant monster-like creatures called Kami, using the same techniques used for the puzzles. It can be played on the Oculus Quest and Quest 2.

13 ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos

ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos is a sequel to Tokyo Chronos, though it isn't necessary to play it before playing this one. Set 300 years into the future, an alien race known as the Meteoras has pushed humanity to find safety and shelter in the underground city, Augmented Tokyo.

The only protection against the alien invaders is the military organization, Prometheus, and their giant battle robots called Makhia. The player enters the story from the perspective of a member of Prometheus, Chloe. ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos can be played on Windows Mixed Reality, HTC Vive, Valve Index, and Oculus Rift.

12 Dyschronia: Chronos Alternate

Made by the same creators of Tokyo Chronos and Altdeus: Beyond Chronos, two of the best VR games out there, Dyschronia: Chronos Alternate came out in September of 2022. The world of the game is connected to the "Chronos Universe" but isn't a sequel to either game. The artificial marine city of Astrum Close is considered to be a utopia as it uses technology to monitor and influence the dreams of the population, to prevent any dark thoughts that would lead to them committing a crime.

In a place where the crime rate is virtually non-existent, players follow after Special Supervisor Hal as he investigates a murder. What makes this case even more extraordinary is the identity of the victim, who is the founder of Astrum Close. Dyschronia: Chronos Alternate's episode 1 is available with episode 2 coming out in the Winter of 2022 and episode 3 coming out in the Spring of 2023. It can be played on the Oculus Quest 2.

11 Project LUX

The world that Project LUX is set in is an advanced futuristic world that has allowed people to completely digitize their consciousness and upload it into a "cyberbrain". These "cyberbrains" have many uses, including being useful in courtroom cases as the jury can simply view a person's memory to accurately retell events.

The player finds themselves in one of these courtrooms as the defendant, tried for the murder of a girl named Lux. She was an artist that worked for the government and her ideas were used to connect people's "cyberbrains" with their emotions. Project LUX is broken up into five episodic parts and has multiple endings, depending on the choices the player makes. It runs on either the HTC Vive or the Valve Index.

10 Chupa Chupa VR

When the word "Chupa" comes to mind one might think of the Spanish brand of lollipops Chupa Chups, which can be found in various places around the world, including Japan. This game has nothing to do with the candy brand and is more around the meaning of the word "Chupa" which can be translated into "lick". Chupa Chupa VR is a stealth game where the player tries to lick as many items in their classroom, without being caught by their classmates.

The player can get more points based on the objects they choose, technique, and how stealthy they can avoid getting caught. There's even a ranking feature that lets players compete with each other. Chupa Chupa VR is a weird but strangely addictive game that can be played on the Windows Mixed Reality, HTC Vive, Valve Index, and the Oculus Rift.

9 Spice & Wolf VR2

Spice & Wolf VR2 is the sequel to the popular VR game Spice & Wolf. It takes place in the future in which Holo and Lawrence settle down together and have a daughter. Just like in the first game, the two talk, and argue, over finances though in a much more fond married couple kind of way.

This game has an interactive mode at the end, which has Lawrence, Holo, and their daughter watching clips from the anime in the style of "Kamishibai", which is Japanese paper street theater. Fans of the series are sure to enjoy another first-person experience into the peaceful life of Spice & Wolf. It can be played using the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive.

8 One Piece Grand Cruise

Fans of One Piece get to experience what it's like on the Thousand Sunny with One Piece Grand Cruise. They'll join the Straw Hat Pirate crew on an adventure as they battle other pirates and use the ship's cannonballs to protect it from flying projectiles and even an aggressive Kraken.

7 DEEMO -Reborn-

DEEMO is a popular rhythm mobile game that has been brought to many platforms since it was first introduced. In 2020, it was brought to VR with DEEMO -Reborn-. Players find themselves in a 3D version of the original setting in DEEMO, a magical castle. The story is the same, a little girl falls from the sky and encounters the mysterious Deemo.

In order to help her get back home, Deemo plays music on his piano to make the tree that's sprouting from his piano grow. As the tree grows, more places within the castle are unlocked, filled with secrets, riddles, and more. It includes some original songs and features many new ones. DEEMO -Reborn- has both a standard and VR mode, with the VR mode running on the Oculus Rift.

6 Timeless Paradox VR

Timeless Paradox VR is a JRPG action-adventure game that puts the fate of the world in the player's hands. The players find themselves in a place called the Time Palace where they meet a mysterious girl named Leilia. Through Leilia and the Time Palace, the player is able to go back in time and become the companion of the Champion Estel, who unexpectedly failed in her quest to defeat a powerful dragon.

While battling beside her, the player must piece together what happened and ultimately decide whether to defy fate and change the course of history. Timeless Paradox VR can be played on Windows Mixed Reality, Occulus Rift, Valve Index, and HTC Vive.

5 Zenith: The Last City

An open-world MMORPG that's still in early access, though what players can do in Zenith: The Last City shows promise of a very enjoyable and immersive VR experience. It's an action-focused game with enemies that pose a fun challenge, and two character classes that provide unique skills and abilities.

Crafting has a fun and more immersive vibe to it and players play mini-games to level up their skill. And there are very few limitations on where players can go as they climb any surface and glide anywhere. It can be played on HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Valve Index, and Windows Mixed Reality.

4 Alice Mystery Garden

Alice Mystery Garden is a cute Alice in Wonderland-inspired action-puzzle game. The player can both control where Alice goes and can take on a top-down player view to manipulate the environment around Alice.

There are 17 different stages that can be accessed through looking-glass gates that are activated by finding and collecting all the looking glass pieces. Players can even switch to Alice's perspective to find places they couldn't see before, and explore them. A simple but charming game, Alice Mystery Garden can be played on the Valve Index, HTC Vive, and the Oculus Rift.

3 Food Girls - Bubbles' Drink Stand

Food Girls - Bubbles' Drink Stand is a game from Simon Creative, who also helped develop the visual novel game Food Girls. Food Girls - Bubbles' Drink Stand appears to be a spinoff game featuring one of the girls from the main game, Bubbles. In this game, players take on the role of "Mr.Consultant" and have to assist Bubbles at her bubble tea shop. The shop isn't stocked for the day, so as a last resort the player has to gather ingredients from Bubbles herself.

Being the "spirit of bubble tea" she comprises the components needed for the drink. Gathering ingredients from her, like the tie from her uniform can be used as green tea, players try to take orders and make them as quickly and as accurately as possible. The game is still in Early Access but the content available so far is fun. It can be played on Valve Index, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift.

2 Innocent Forest: The Bird Of Light

Innocent Forest: The Bird of Light is a charming visual novel turned into a VR experience. Players are taken on a journey as they follow a boy named Kei who finds himself lost in the Forest of Lost Memories. Allegedly, the forest is a place where people can come to forget a memory that has caused them great pain.

Kei crosses paths with a mysterious girl named Luclei who lives in the forest and takes care of the birds within, who seem to hold the fate of the lost memories. It can be played on the HTC Vive and the Valve Index.
