Who doesn't love a good crossover? Having our favorite characters from one fictional world mingle with those hailing from another is a time-honored tradition that bridges the gaps between various fandoms, often to endlessly entertaining results.

The ever-popular Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has seen no shortage of it. There's an incredible amount of great crossover art combining the timeless charm of Bethesda's open-world darling with characters and settings from fandoms across the board. Join us as we dive into ten excellent pieces of crossover art that mash-up Skyrim with everything from Pokémon to The Legend of Zelda.

10 Fallout

It's pretty easy to see why there would be a lot of crossover art between Fallout and the Elder Scrolls, given that they're both under Bethesda's open-world umbrella. This means that we get to enjoy a ton of crossover art of the Dragonborn in the various locations across the American wastelands, and any number of vault dwellers from Fallout attempting to adjust to a pre-nuclear life in Tamriel. It looks like that draugr's in for a bad time, being faced with the combined might of the Sole Survivor and the Dragonborn. The dragon, however...

9 Pokémon

If there's one gaming franchise that outdoes the Elder Scrolls in terms of sheer popularity, it would absolutely have to be Pokémon. It's an absolute pop culture phenomenon that isn't going to disappear anytime soon, with the somewhat recent release Sword & Shield and a new Pokémon Snap game on the horizon.

This artist may have taken a few artistic liberties to fit Pokemon into Tamriel. After all, every fan knows that Charizard isn't a Dragon-type. But perhaps in Tamriel Charizard could finally be allowed to live its best life as a mortal foe of the Dragonborn. Depending on your definition of "best life," of course.

8 Legend Of Zelda

It's dangerous to go alone, so take a Dragonborn companion to watch your back. Or is Legend of Zelda's Link that actual follower in this situation? Regardless, the artist has ensured that the shadow of a descending dragon is clearly visible, so this dynamic duo certainly has a struggle ahead of them. Maybe the Dragonborn could do Link a favor and give him a hand with Ganon afterward.

7 Overwatch

Overwatch is a game that is known for its incredible characters, and naturally, a collection really interesting skins that players just can't get enough of. Zenyatta is a fairly underrated character in the Overwatch series. Whatever the reason, players everywhere can agree that he has a cool design. That design is enhanced by the addition of one of the Dragon Masks, which are among the most valuable pieces of equipment in Skyrim. The artist clearly thought they worked with Zenyatta's aesthetic here, and they definitely weren't wrong.

6 Portal

Now you're thinking with portals! Chell from Portal gets put through the wringer in the Aperture Science facilities, but she manages to survive with a little help from the ever-handy portal gun. Here, it seems as if the iconic orange and blue portals have been reimagined as dual-wielded spells in Skyrim, an interesting concept that some enterprising mod author should likely jump on as soon as humanly possible.

5 Dragon Age

What the Elder Scrolls franchise is to Fallout, Dragon Age is to Mass Effect in many ways. The different franchises have the same developer, style, and even mechanics to a certain degree. One defining component shared by both Dragon Age and Mass Effect is a robust and engaging romance system.

That said, their penchant for ensuring the player character can chase after true love is endlessly meme-worthy, so it's no shocker that comes into play in this particular Skyrim crossover. That Khajiit doesn't seem to be having any of it.

4 The Witcher

While the world of The Witcher series isn't quite as open as Skyrim's, there are some natural parallels between the two. That said, if the Dragonborn and Geralt of Rivia ever did actually cross paths, they may not get along. They're both adept monster hunters in their own respective rights, but the catch is that the Dragonborn might just be considered a monster themselves. Between their dragon blood and the fact that they do have the option to become a vampire or werewolf over the course of their journey, it's possible they'd come to blows with the stalwart witcher.

3 Mulan

Now for a little something that no one expected to see. Mulan is a story that has captivated audiences, both young and old, for over two decades. With its live-action iteration to soon be released on streaming platforms, Disney fans have a lot to be excited about. And here, the Dunmer seem to lend themselves as cast members surprisingly naturally.

2 My Little Pony

If something exists, there is a crossover of that thing with My Little Pony, there are no exceptions. Clad in Orcish armor and seemingly wielding the almighty Dawnbreaker, this Dragonborn pony is ready to face down some dragons. This particular piece does beg an obvious question, though. Are the ponies of My Little Pony as adept at scaling mountains as Skyrim's native steeds?

1 Fallout Again

There is so much crossover art between Skyrim and Fallout that we had to include a bit more. After all, they make for a pretty natural crossover given that they're the two pillars of Bethesda's open-world gaming empire. In this piece, the Sole Survivor seems to be giving the Dragonborn a tour of Diamond City's essential destinations. And it doesn't get much more essential than Power Noodles, does it?
