Fire Emblem Engage may have got rid of marriage for not only the main character Alear as well as the other units. However, that doesn't stop the player being able to possibly pursue romance with some characters in the game. Once unlocking the Pact Ring, players are able to pursue an S-rank support with any of the unit available although only a few of them are actually considered a romance.

There are still many bachelors and bachelorettes available for players to pursue and these are by far the best of the bunch players should consider pursuing a romance with no matter if they're playing male or female Alear.

8 Pandreo

Pandreo S-Support in Fire Emblem Engage

The romance between Alear and Pandreo is quite the wholesome one. Throughout both the main characters and this priest's supports, Pandreo helps Alear understand their importance to the people in the continent of Elyos. Pandreo is known to worship Alear especially as himself and his fellow clergymen worship Divine Dragons, eventually this worshiping becomes more romantic, and he has to admit his feelings.

During their S-support Pandreo admits that he believes his love for Alear is to be forbidden due to both his status and their own. Alear disagrees with this returning the favor by teaching Pandreo a lesson on not allowing others to control how he feels.

7 Jade

Jade S-Support in Fire Emblem Engage

Jade has a hard time expressing her emotions and this shows throughout all of her supports. Therefore, it's of no surprise that many players are attached to finding a place in her heart even if she struggles to find a way to show it. Alear is shown to be equally devoted as ever to trying to help others especially Jade when she keeps being attacked by bandits. Even though she deals with them herself she is happy to find out that Alear considers them both friends.

This friendship grows into something strong in their S-support as Alear presents the Pact Ring to Jade. Even in this final bit of dialogue, concluding their relationship, Jade struggles to find the words to show how much she cares for Alear also.

6 Kagetsu

Kagetsu S-support in Fire Emblem Engage

Kagetsu is unlike other characters in Fire Emblem Engage, especially as he is from a secluded land far away from the troubles that Elyos is facing. He's an incredibly curious Swordmaster that can't help asking Alear plenty of odd and personal questions until Alear finally flips the questions onto himself.

Through talking about Kagetsu's family as well as starting to spend all their time together by the point of getting an S support it's a surprise to the player to hear Kagetsu feel their friendship is breaking. However, it turns out that this is only because he is afraid that Alear will pick someone else to give the Pact Ring to, doubting how deep the main character's feelings are for him.

5 Goldmary

Goldmary S-support in Fire Emblem Engage

While some players may find Goldmary's overconfidence unappealing many can't blame her for this part of her personality due to how she strives for perfection in everything she does. Her support conversations between herself and Alear are both hilarious as at one point she urges Alear to stay with her to watch her cry so perfectly while also being endearing.

Although she can be very overdramatic, her S-support with Alear is nothing but beautiful and heartwarming as she for a change doesn't strive to display perfection. Instead, she admits that she has feelings for Alear and hopes they will find her to be a perfect partner to which the main character agrees.

4 Mauvier

Mauvier S-support in Fire Emblem Engage

As a former enemy of the Divine Dragon Alear it is of no surprise that their conversations tend to discuss how Mauvier feels guilt for his past actions. No matter how much Alear tries to thank him for being the protector of Veyle, he believes himself unworthy of praise.

Eventually Alear helps Mauvier understand that he is capable of forgiving himself due to being a good person and allowing Alear into his heart. As friends Mauvier quickly becomes happier while he gradually begins to forgive himself till eventually Alear musters the courage to give him the Pact Ring, so they may be partners for all eternity.

However, in her dialogue with Alear, she begins to attempt to find out what happened to her parents as quickly after she left they also went missing. Alear tries to help Panette look for them as well as being there in general to support her. When Alear finally attempts to admit their feelings to Panette she at first tries to decline due to fear of becoming like her parents which Alear reassures her that it won't be the case.

2 Alfred

Alfred S-support in Fire Emblem Engage

Alfred is one of the first friends Alear makes when they finally awake from their a thousand-year slumber. However, Alfred tends to take this a little too far in their dialogue in an attempt to be the very best friend.

Although their supports may seem quite humorous when Alfred says he isn't worthy of being Alear's friend. The main character takes this to heart and correct Alfred that he is the best even without having to do all the extra things that were bothering them. Their S-support comes to a wholesome end as this overflowing friendship turns romantic as Alfred admits his feelings to Alear.

1 Ivy

Ivy S-support in Fire Emblem Engage

Ivy has always been in love with Alear, though at first this I love you she says early on is due to how she perceives the main character as her deity. This was the small bit of rebellion she did when she was younger to distance herself from the worship of the Fell Dragon in her kingdom.

Eventually Alear grows closer to Ivy as they learn more about her childhood and the backstabbing she had to face during it. By the time Ivy can be given the Pact Ring, players are sure to have fell in love with her themselves. Especially as it can be seen that all she has ever done is tried to protect her sister and open her heart to others.
