8 8. BIOSHOCK INFINITE

Bioshock Infinite has an interesting premise with some challenging gameplay action. Released in 2013, the game focuses on a city in Columbia that disappeared into the clouds. Booker DeWitt sets out to find the city and rescue a girl held captive there. He then has to battle enemies as the city falls to get her back to safety.

Ranked at a 94 on Metacritic, reviews called it a "staggeringly impressive achievement" that exceeds expectations when stacked up against big-budget videogame releases. PlayStation LifeStyle calls it a "near-perfect" game that can't be missed.

With the PlayStation Network, Portal 2 added the multiplayer co-op game modes and ended up with a winner.

6 6. THE LAST OF US

Twenty years after a pandemic destroyed civilization, the worst in human traits arose and people killed for sustenance and weapons. The game focuses on Joel, a survivor, who is hired to smuggle out a 14-year-old girl and the two fight for survival as they race across the country. The game is a horror masterpiece.

5 5. RED DEAD REDEMPTION

One of the most successful games in this history of the PlayStation 3 was, shockingly, a game based in the Wild West. Red Dead Redemption is the follow-up to the 2004 game Red Dead Revolver and ended up with a high rating of 95 based on Metacritic reviews.

The game follows a former outlaw named John Marston on an adventure across the American frontier as the industrial revolution starts to strip away the Wild West little by little. With the open-world environment, the game offers hours upon hours of gameplay with beautiful and breathtaking set pieces.

4 4. LITTLEBIGPLANET

Before Minecraft, the PlayStation 3 had its own world-building game in LITTLEBIGPLANET. Just like in Minecraft, gamers explored, played, and created their own worlds. Thanks to the PlayStation Network, introduced on the PS3, they could share these worlds with other gamers. This game was the type that Sony created the PlayStation Network to support.

Early reviews for the game, released in 2008, said this game could mark a new era in gaming and the "birth of a revolution." With the advent of things like Minecraft, that prediction proved to be very accurate. While the levels were prebuilt here, it is clearly the genesis of Minecraft.

3 3. BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY

Who would have believed that the third best-rated game for the PlayStation 3 would end up based on a DC Comics superhero? The idea that superhero games were cheesy releases died with the next-generation consoles. These complex and challenging games arrived, taking the genre to the next level as well.

Batman: Arkham City continued the story from Arkham Asylum and sent players into the streets of Gotham City to battle criminals, thugs, and gangsters in an open-world format. The reviews praised the game's story, variety of missions, and fun side quests, calling this a masterfully executed action-adventure game.
