Capcom's Dragon's Dogma originally launched for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2012. Featuring a relatively small open world with a rather generic story to boot, everyone forgave Dragon's Dogma for its limitations once they got to interact with the amazing combat system of this game.

Each class in the title feels unique to play, with something as dreaded as an archer feeling just as responsive and action-packed as other classes once players check it out firsthand. Suffice it to say, fans of the game who've played through the title numerous times will want something fresh for their umpteenth playthrough, and this is where Dragon's Dogma mods come into the picture.

How To Install Mods For Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen

Mods for Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen are simple enough to install. Here is the standard process:

• Download the mod.
• Extract the mod's files. 7-zip can get the job done.
• Open Dragon's Dogma's directory. For Steam users, this will be found under steamapps\common\DDDA\nativePC\rom\.
• Find the file with the same name as the mod. Back up the original file.
• Replace the existing file with the mod.

This mod is essentially a cheat, so it's not recommended for new players as they can only have one save file at a time and the game should be experienced as it was truly intended first of all.

However, if players have already explored Gransys to their heart's content and want to play around a bit, the All Items Save File mod will give them a save file with 100 of every base item in their storage. To put this into perspective, that’s over 1900 items in total, which can make numerous things in a new game of Dragon's Dogma a breeze to accomplish.

15 Remove The Arisen Chest Scar

Players take on the role of the “Arisen”, the one chosen by the dragon at the beginning of the game to have their heart ripped out, yet they survive due to their link with the beast. This means that throughout the rest of the game, the protagonist is sporting a rather hefty chest scar.

Many current games will allow players to switch between their local language and Japanese if they wish to. Regrettably, Dragon's Dogma doesn't offer this, likely due to its age, but players can manually add in the voices themselves with the DDDA Japanese VoiceOver Project mod.

Installing this mod will give the characters and NPCs their Japanese voice actors, as well as lipsyncing. There are a couple of lines that remain in English, in particular for the female voice 4 option, but this mod is still a great addition overall.

18 Jump

One of the greatest aspects of the Dragon's Dogma gameplay is being able to jump onto some of the larger enemies, holding onto them as long as their stamina allows, and stabbing them as they do so. There are some great moments within the game where this mechanic works with flying beasts, leaving players holding on for dear life, and hoping their stamina doesn't deplete.

However, to maximize the jump range of the Arisen, players can install the Jump mod, which increases their jump height by 1.6 times. This is particularly helpful when exploring, as well as for attacking those larger-than-life foes.

A pet peeve for many gamers is when magic use or other bright lights within the game impede their actual gameplay because of their blinding effects.
