However, not taking it seriously was one of the main reasons this film turned out to be so great. After all, with such an interesting plot, it's hard to not enjoy everything that goes on in this fantastic film.

It's got a fantastic script and a plot that keeps viewers on their toes while still being an enjoyable and unpredictable journey through history and the relationship between a father and his adopted son.

9 Abominable

7 Captain Underpants

Based on the novel by Dav Pilkey, the Captain Underpants movie is another one that doesn't take itself too seriously. Even though it's not the most serious film ever that doesn't mean it's not a joy to watch.

However, this film is primarily designed for children or families, so those kids will undoubtedly find it hilarious as they watch a headteacher get hypnotized into thinking he's a legendary superhero. It's also got names like Kevin Hart and Jordan Peele in the voice acting cast meaning any fans of comedy will recognize and enjoy certain performances within this almost superhero movie.

6 Kung Fu Panda

If legendary actors were the reason for watching certain DreamWorks films then Kung Fu Panda is probably the best of the bunch. It stars the likes of Seth Rogen, Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, and of course, Jack Black.

Despite the A-list cast, Kung Fu Panda is one of the best animated DreamWorks films out there. It's a gripping adventure filled with laughs but also serious moments and a multitude of moments in which viewers get particularly invested in these characters. Kung Fu Panda was a hit as soon as it was released and remains to be a fantastic film that many know and love.

Nevertheless, it's a surprisingly interesting and immersive family comedy about two ants who feel like they are irrelevant in their colony.

Telling the tale of finding their destiny around a vast amount of people, Antz will more than likely hit home for many people watching. However, it won't be too much of an emotional rollercoaster because it's still filled with DreamWorks' classic charm.

This is primarily due to the incredible talent behind the creation, the classic story, and the lovable characters. Particularly in one of the highest-rated Wallace & Gromit films made, The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit. It's a family-friendly, thoroughly enjoyable experience that anyone should watch if they haven't already.

There isn't too much to say about Chicken Run. It's just an amazing movie that brings everything film fans love into one magically funny experience. Chicken Run tells the tale of a coop of chickens who learn their fate on the farm and decide to do something about it.

It's a classic escape movie with a fantastic twist and some brilliant characters thrown in. So, due to the fact there will be a second Chicken Run coming to screens in 2023, it would just feel right to watch this one before.

With a story that will make anyone cry, smile, and laugh all at the same time, How To Train Your Dragon is one of the highest-rated DreamWorks films ever made. It features Hiccup, a Viking who is struggling to find his way in his dragon hunting society when he meets a friendly but injured dragon. Viewers get to witness the growing bond between them and how the plot develops through these lovable characters.

If viewers don't want to watch it for the characters then they must watch it purely for the soundtrack. It's beautifully mesmerizing and will likely make anyone wish they could ride the adorable Toothless.
