They're the kind of creations that are quirky and a joy to watch throughout. So, even though some may not have landed well in the rankings, others shine out as films movie fans just have to see.
This is what DreamWorks does so well. They create films that are funny, well animated, and with a meaningful story behind them, for the most part. Nevertheless, there are a great many DreamWorks animated films everyone has to watch.
10 Mr. Peabody & Sherman

Complete with a talking dog and his adopted son, Mr. Peabody & Sherman is one that many cannot take seriously. However, not taking it seriously was one of the main reasons this film turned out to be so great. After all, with such an interesting plot, it's hard to not enjoy everything that goes on in this fantastic film.
It's got a fantastic script and a plot that keeps viewers on their toes while still being an enjoyable and unpredictable journey through history and the relationship between a father and his adopted son.
9 Abominable

As one of the more recent additions to DreamWorks' film roster, Abominable is an experience many will disregard. However, disregarding this film will mean missing out on some beautiful animation filled with family-friendly adventures that will warm the soul.
It's a great film that is guaranteed to make anyone laugh, smile, and maybe even cry as they witness three friends helping the Yeti they just found get to his family. It's a lovely film that's well worth a watch and is guaranteed to make any film fan smile.
8 Puss In Boots

This is the film when Puss In Boots stepped out of the Shrek franchise and into his own movie, this one is hilarious. It's filled with lovable characters, and recognizable fairy tales, and has the spin that films like Shrek bring to DreamWorks animations.
It's a relatively popular film among fans, doing quite well in the eyes of critics and families alike. After all, who doesn't want to watch an adorable yet deadly fighting cat defeat Jack and Jill who are now criminals? This experience is one many will never forget.
7 Captain Underpants

Based on the novel by Dav Pilkey, the Captain Underpants movie is another one that doesn't take itself too seriously. Even though it's not the most serious film ever that doesn't mean it's not a joy to watch.
However, this film is primarily designed for children or families, so those kids will undoubtedly find it hilarious as they watch a headteacher get hypnotized into thinking he's a legendary superhero. It's also got names like Kevin Hart and Jordan Peele in the voice acting cast meaning any fans of comedy will recognize and enjoy certain performances within this almost superhero movie.
6 Kung Fu Panda

If legendary actors were the reason for watching certain DreamWorks films then Kung Fu Panda is probably the best of the bunch. It stars the likes of Seth Rogen, Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, and of course, Jack Black.
Despite the A-list cast, Kung Fu Panda is one of the best animated DreamWorks films out there. It's a gripping adventure filled with laughs but also serious moments and a multitude of moments in which viewers get particularly invested in these characters. Kung Fu Panda was a hit as soon as it was released and remains to be a fantastic film that many know and love.
5 Shrek

Most of the time when movie fans think of DreamWorks animated film they think of Shrek. It has to be one of the most iconic films in the world. After all, one play of the first song and people will instantly think of the opening scene and remember how much they loved the film.
If viewers haven't watched this film then it has to be on the watchlist as soon as possible. It's a great story about an Ogre who learns to love himself and others in a rather comedic and complicated way. This and all the other Shrek's are a must-watch.
4 Antz

It may be one of the less modern films available but Antz is a joy to watch. It's perfect for anyone who enjoyed A Bug's Life and feels much like the same theme with a DreamWorks twist. Nevertheless, it's a surprisingly interesting and immersive family comedy about two ants who feel like they are irrelevant in their colony.
Telling the tale of finding their destiny around a vast amount of people, Antz will more than likely hit home for many people watching. However, it won't be too much of an emotional rollercoaster because it's still filled with DreamWorks' classic charm.
3 Wallace & Gromit: The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit

When most people think of DreamWorks films they remember Shrek, How To Train Your Dragon, Chicken Run, and Wallace & Gromit. After all, they're some of the best films out there. So, while Wallace & Gromit may be claymation rather than an animation, it still goes down as one of DreamWork's bests.
This is primarily due to the incredible talent behind the creation, the classic story, and the lovable characters. Particularly in one of the highest-rated Wallace & Gromit films made, The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit. It's a family-friendly, thoroughly enjoyable experience that anyone should watch if they haven't already.
2 Chicken Run

There isn't too much to say about Chicken Run. It's just an amazing movie that brings everything film fans love into one magically funny experience. Chicken Run tells the tale of a coop of chickens who learn their fate on the farm and decide to do something about it.
It's a classic escape movie with a fantastic twist and some brilliant characters thrown in. So, due to the fact there will be a second Chicken Run coming to screens in 2023, it would just feel right to watch this one before.

With a story that will make anyone cry, smile, and laugh all at the same time, How To Train Your Dragon is one of the highest-rated DreamWorks films ever made. It features Hiccup, a Viking who is struggling to find his way in his dragon hunting society when he meets a friendly but injured dragon. Viewers get to witness the growing bond between them and how the plot develops through these lovable characters.
If viewers don't want to watch it for the characters then they must watch it purely for the soundtrack. It's beautifully mesmerizing and will likely make anyone wish they could ride the adorable Toothless.
