Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is giving Nickelodeon fans of all ages something to be excited about. On top of the game's Super Smash Bros. comparisons, some of the biggest cartoon names in Nickelodeon's history are making up its roster of playable fighters. From Nigel Thornberry to Spongebob Squarepants, there's a little something for everybody to get excited about.

Out of all of the characters in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, few have been so well-received as Danny Phantom. The high school student-turned-human/ghost hybrid is remembered fondly by many of the fans that grew up with the Danny Phantom cartoon. The show had a style and attitude that's rarely found in Nickelodeon shows nowadays, and there's a lot of potential for that style to be conveyed through Danny's move set in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. The show does a great job at making sure he has a wide arsenal of abilities at his disposal, so there's plenty of room to include some of them in the game.

Ghost Ray

Danny Phantom 1

One of Danny Phantom's primary abilities is his Ghost Ray. This ability manifests as blasts of ecto-energy out of his hands or fingertips, and they can be incredibly useful in battle. Danny can also use this energy to create constructs, such as ecto-energy balls or explosive rings. It's reminiscent of DC Comics' Green Lantern, except Danny creates them naturally without using a special ring. Depending on the type of fighter Danny Phantom is, this ability could be used to make him a viable ranged option that's able to keep others at a distance.

Ghost Shield

Danny Phantom 2

Similar to how Danny Phantom can create weapons out of ecto-energy, he can also use it to protect himself from incoming attacks. Danny's Ghost Shield can take on just about any form he wants it to, and it's capable of reflecting back any energy attacks that may strike it. This would be an incredibly useful ability to have in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, and there's already some basis for it in games like Super Smash Bros. Characters like Mario or Fox have their own reflecting moves on top of the universal shield move, and Danny's Ghost Shield could operate in a very similar way.

Ghostly Wail

Most party-fighting games nowadays give fighters some kind of "ultimate move" that is meant to wipe out as many players as possible in one big spectacle. If Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl were to include a similar mechanic, it would have an excellent opportunity with Danny Phantom. Danny's most powerful ability is known as the Ghostly Wail, and it has a lot of potential for an ultimate move. This ability sees Danny letting out a massive sonic blast of pure ecto-energy, and it's capable of tremendous destruction. It could operate similarly to Samus Aran's Final Smash in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and it would be a great way to show off Danny Phantom's full power.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl doesn't seem to be holding back with its party-fighting game inspirations. The game already has a decent confirmed characters list, and Danny Phantom is one of the most exciting inclusions so far. It seems that some proper care has been put into the characterization of Nickelodeon's most iconic creations, so hopefully Danny Phantom fans will see that reflected in his abilities.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl launches fall 2021 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
