10 Street Fighter V: Champion Edition

Street Fighter V: Champion Edition is just an updated version of the original game titled just Street Fighter V. The game has a rating of 82 on Metacritic, which isn't very impressive, but considering that the only better rated fighting game on the site is Mortal Kombat, clearly Street Fighter V: Champion Edition is definitely something everyone needs to try.

The games offer interesting singleplayer campaign, and of course multiplayer option where players can lose countless hours. The game also broke the record for the most entrants in the single game, with more than 5,000 registrations on the tournament at the Evolution Championship Series.

9 NBA 2K19

NBA 2K19 is a basketball simulation videogame developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports. It is the 20th installment in the NBA 2K franchise. The player can play the game in singleplayer mode or try their luck and test skills against other players across the world in multiplayer mode.

With a rating of 82, it is the best rated NBA game in the series, and it also was nominated for Best Sports/Racing Game at The Game Awards 2018, Fan Favourite Sports/Racing Game, and for the Best Sports/Driving Game at the Titanium Awards.

8 Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is a kart racing video game developed by Beenox and published by Activision. The game features characters from the Crash Bandicoot series, and there are 56 playable characters available. It also has a wide range of maps, and combined with interesting gameplay featuring cartoonish graphics, it will give players many hours of fun in competitive multiplayer mode.

It has a solid 83 rating on Metacritic and it won the award for the Best Racing Game at the 2019 Game Critics Award and for the Best Sports/Racing Game at The Game Awards 2019, while IGN named it the best racing game of 2019.

7 FIFA 19

FIFA 19 has a rating of 83 on Metacritic and is the best FIFA game in the series. It also won the Best Sports Game award at Gamescom and a Game Critics Award.

Playing the multiplayer mode is fun and addictive, especially for hardcore football fans, and, surprisingly, the game offers a quite creative singleplayer mode that follows a story of fictional player Alex Hunter who signed for Real Madrid after Ronaldo left for Juventus. Also, for the first time, the game features UEFA club competitions. FIFA 19 was the last game that was physically available for the PlayStation 3.

6 Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 holds a rating of 83 on Metacritic and is the 15th installment in the Call of Duty series. The game doesn't feature a classical singleplayer campaign, but a Solo Missions mode which focuses on backstories of the games multiplayer characters - known as Specialist.

There are ten of them available in the game. Aside from the multiplayer, the game also features Zombie mode and the new battle royale mode called Blackout, which features up to 100 players per match. While the whole idea of not having a singleplayer campaign was met with a mixed reception, the same can't be said for the multiplayer that is, for this game, everything.

5 Mortal Kombat XL

Mortal Kombat XL is just an upgraded version of Mortal Kombat X. It features two players fighting with their characters in multiplayer mode and includes well written and directed singleplayer campaign. The player who first wins two rounds is declared the winner, with the ability to finish the opponent with a famous fatality move.

The game received positive reviews and holds a rating of 85 on Metacritic, and also won the award for the Best Fighting Game from the 2015 NAVGTR Awards and Game Awards 2015.

4 F1 2020

F1 2020 is the official video game of the Formula 1 and Formula 2 Championships. Developed and published by Codemasters, it is the 13th installment in the series.  The game holds a solid 86 rating on Metacritic, and it's easy to see why.

Wherever players decide to play the single-player or multiplayer mode, the game features the wide range of racetrack, and all of them are quite authentically replicated from their real-life counterparts. Aside from maps, the game also features twenty drivers and ten teams, so the players can play as Lewis Hamilton or Sebastian Vettel to become Formula 1 champion.

3 Battlefield 1

Despite the name, Battlefield 1 isn't actually the first game in the series, but actually the tenth. At its core, Battlefield 1 is the first-person shooter with a heavy emphasis on teamwork. It is set in a time of World War 1 and is inspired by historical events.

The multiplayer mode supports up to 64 players, that can play a variety of game types such as Conquest, Domination, Rush, Operations, Team Deathmatch, War Pigeons, Frontlines, Supply Depot, Air Assault, and Shock Operations. It ranks as one of the best PlayStation games on Metacritic with a rating of 89. The game was also a commercial success, with 15 million copies sold.

2 Overwatch

Overwatch is a first-person shooter multiplayer game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. Overwatch received critical claim upon release and currently holds a rating of 90 on Metacritic. Overwatch is also one of the most popular eSports games around.

1 Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition

Diablo III: Ultimate Edition has the same rating on Meatcrictic as Overwatch - 90. They both share the first place as the best PlayStation competitive game. Not surprisingly, they are both developed by Blizzard - a studio that really knows how to make a game.

While players cannot hope to earn money like playing Overwatch, nonetheless Diablo III offers a multiplayer mode with a ranking system on Battle.net, which in reality, combined with its dark twisted world filled with magic and various creatures, offers a lot of fun and satisfaction. The game sold more than 30 million copies worldwide.
