Chibi is a type of Japanese caricature frequently seen in manga and anime, in which characters have exaggeratedly drawn features. Chibi figures are typically characterized by exaggeratedly large heads, short, stumpy limbs, and a general lack of detail. In the Western anime fan community, this term is used to describe characters who have abnormally large heads and small bodies for comedic effect. In these shows, many of the characters are drawn in a chibi style.
