Those who have been in the market for a new Nvidia or AMD graphics card, or any new gaming and tech hardware for that matter, knows just how difficult it can be to source any of it. With Nvidia's own CEO saying that shortages could continue throughout most of next year, there's a chance that short supplies of products is going to continue to hamper consumer demand, as well as the market overall. However, there is a glimmer of hope on the horizon as Best Buy will be getting stocks of Nvidia 30 series cards in this week.

According to the company website, Nvidia 30 GPUs will go on sale from Thursday 26 at 7:30am local time, but only across select stores. The information says stocks will be limited and customers can only purchase one item. Best Buy staff members, who are nicknamed "Blue Shirts," will be standing buy with tickets to hand out at the specified time. The website states that purchasing customers who receive a ticket must enter the store. However, those who have a ticket will be "guaranteed the opportunity" to buy an Nvidia 30 graphics card. Certain conditions will also be put into place, which will be at the discretion of the store. This includes factors, such as the length of lines, the number of staff at each store, and even the weather.

What's not clear is exactly which GPUs will be available. There are numerous products in the 30 series, so what Best Buy will be selling could be the RTX 3090 which came out last September, or it could be the super powerful Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti which was launched back in December, or anything in between. There is a decent range to choose from in the series, so customers will still be getting a brand new, up-to-date graphics card whichever specific models go on sale tomorrow.

Given the demand for gaming hardware at the moment, it's likely that stores will sell out of graphics cards fairly quickly. A similar thing happened at the beginning of this year, when Best Buy restocked PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles, only for them to sell out immediately.

Despite the shortages that have been raging on since the end of 2020, both Nvidia and AMD reported sales increases for the first quarter of 2021. The fact that Best Buy will be selling Nvidia 30 cards very soon suggests that the company is going to have an edge over the competition.

Nvidia 30 graphics cards are being sold at select Best Buy stores across the country from tomorrow.
