Assassin’s Creed has been around since 2007 when players were first introduced to Desmond Miles and Altair Ibn-La’Ahad in the original Assassin’s Creed game. However, it wasn’t until the release of Assassin’s Creed 2 and its introduction of Ezio Auditore da Firenze that the Assassin’s Creed franchise really took off. The franchise spawned multiple different games set in different time periods as well as spin-offs, including different games, books, and comics.

While Desmond and Ezio were arguably the most standout characters of the games, with Desmond being featured in five games and Ezio in three, other Assassin’s Creed games have introduced players to tons of new characters. With cosplay being a popular art form and way to show appreciation for a favorite franchise, it’s unsurprising that fans have taken the opportunity to craft outfits and dress up like their favorite Assassin’s Creed characters. Some cosplayers like to focus on main characters, while others might find themselves drawn to side characters. Either way, these cosplays are among the best Assassin’s Creed cosplays out there.

Ezio and Aya by Pharaoh_Cosplay and YorunaK

While this pairing may not be possible in the Assassin’s Creed timeline, that’s what makes cosplay so fun. Fans get to interact with each other either as their characters and get cool photos that wouldn’t otherwise happen in-game. Aya founded the Creed, so it’s exciting to see her beside Ezio in a stance that only suggests they’d kick the butts of anyone who tried to fight them. Plus, the attention to detail on both costumes is incredible.

Shao Jun by Yayahan

Shao Jun of Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China often isn’t given enough love by Assassin’s Creed, but Yayahan makes up for this with a stunning cosplay of the assassin. Besides being an incredible fighter and assassin, Shao also trained as Ezio’s apprentice, making her inherently important to the Assassin’s Creed timeline. Players who haven’t picked up Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China should do so, if for no other reason than to see what inspired such an amazing cosplay.

Arno Dorian by Triger777

This cosplay by Triger777 captures both of Arno’s preferred weapons, which are also depicted in his Funko Pop figure. Assassin’s Creed Unity doesn’t tend to be as highly regarded as some of the other Assassin’s Creed games, but that doesn’t make it a bad game. Much like Altair, Arno must go on a quest for redemption and they both fall in love with women who were Templars at some point or another. The location also lets players discover France, and the elaborate setting of some areas is perfect captured in this Arno cosplay.

Elise de la Serre by Souli_Cosplay

While Elise isn’t the playable character of Assassin’s Creed Unity, she is highly regarded as a strong female character within the Assassin’s Creed universe. Some fans even think Assassin’s Creed Unity should have featured her as the protagonist instead of Arno. Regardless, the game features a sweet love story between the two of them, despite the fact that she was raised to be a Templar. This cosplay shows the power and ferociousness demonstrated by Elise in the game.

Evie Frye by Cyonyume

Evie was the first female mainline Assassin’s Creed protagonist, though she had to split her screen time with her twin brother, Jacob. She and her brother work well together, and this cosplay encapsulates why. Jacob is brash and a bit too quick to action, while Evie is calculated and studious. Both have their strengths, but Cyonyume captures Evie’s calculative nature with this perfectly executed cosplay.

Bayek of Siwa Commission by Skunk and Weasel

assassins-creed-origins-bayek-cosplay

Skunk and Weasel are a couple who both cosplay and create costumes for themselves or others. This Bayek cosplay was a commission they completed for a client and modeled by someone the couple knows. The attention to detail in Bayek’s cosplay is stunning, with lots of pieces being hand-crafted or molded for the final product. Lots of time and effort went into this commission, and it shows.

Kassandra by JessKerrCosplay

The canon protagonist for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Kassandra is revered by many fans of the series. Her strong, powerful nature is perfectly encapsulated by JessKerrCosplay, especially with all the details of her armor and her weapon. JessKerrCosplay even remarked how powerful they felt wearing Kassandra’s cosplay, which is a testament to how highly regarded the character is overall.

Valka by LausitzStephan

Valka may be a side character in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but her design makes for an interesting and exciting cosplay opportunity. Valka is also the one who helps Eivor visit Asgard, though that plotline exists separately from the main story of Valhalla. LausitzStephan nails Valka’s makeup and the details of her jewelry alongside the unique deer antler headpiece she wears. The outdoor setting really makes this Valka cosplay look like it was taken straight from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and not recreated in real life.

Eivor by Amazoniancos

Eivor is the protagonist and player character of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and depending on the armor chosen, it can be quite a layered cosplay. Amazoniancos did a fantastic job recreating Eivor’s Raven Clan shield and bracers, complete with a hidden blade. Most cosplayers don’t get the opportunity to be photographed next to real wolves, but Amazoniancos managed to find a place that does exactly that. Eivor’s nickname in Valhalla is “Wolf-Kissed,” and Amazoniancos was able to make that nickname a bit more literal.

Edward Kenway by CosplayCorgi

As demonstrated by CosplayCorgi, not all cosplays have to be donned by humans. Kiba the corgi makes an adorable Edward Kenway, the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. He’s even got a tiny gun modeled after the one in-game, but it’s a water gun instead of an effective pistol. While a corgi cosplay may not be entirely traditional, it’s still incredibly cute and will hopefully get a smile out of anyone who stumbles upon Kiba in his Edward Kenway cosplay.

Cosplay is a fun way to connect with other fans of a franchise and bring to life some amazing characters. Assassin’s Creed is full of interesting characters to cosplay as, and this was only a small taste of some of the best Assassin’s Creed cosplays out there. Odds are, as more games come out, more people will want to cosplay as various characters in the Assassin’s Creed universe.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
