One of the most common anime powers is the ability to create and manipulate fire, and in the right hands, this power can be quite devastating. Fire is known for being a destructive force, but a surprising number of protagonists use it. That being said, there are a number of villains who can control fire in one form or another as well.

8 Azula (Avatar: The Last Airbender)

Azula Sitting On The Throne Of The Fire Nation

Azula was incredibly sadistic and manipulative, but no one could deny her mastery of firebending. She was the princess of the Fire Nation, and even her father considered her to be a true firebending prodigy. She could control fire like any other firebender, but she had the ability to produce blue flames, which are more powerful than traditional fire.

Azula was able to use her bending in innovating ways, and it took an extremely talented waterbender to stop her. She can also be considered one of the best anime villains capable of controlling lightning because she was capable of using an advanced form of firebending, which allowed her to generate and shoot lightning from her fingers.

7 Feitan (Hunter x Hunter)

Feitan Before & After Pain Packer

When looking at all of Hunter x Hunter's main characters, it becomes quite obvious that Feitan is not someone to be trifled with. He is a master swordsman, but he also happens to be a Transmuter. If Feitan gets mad enough and sustains enough damage, he conjures a suit of armor that protects him from his next attack. Hao Smiling Down At His Brother

Shaman King is one of the best anime currently on Netflix, and Hao is the series' main antagonist. He wants to become Shaman King in order to create a world solely for shaman, and his main Guardian Ghost is the Spirit of Fire, one of the five elemental spirits.

The spirit lost a great deal of its strength when it reincarnated alongside Hao, but it was still incredibly powerful. Hoa is fond of fire, which is the main reason why he prefers to use the spirit's elemental powers instead of his own taijutsu. The spirit itself tends to use physical attacks, but it does not shy away from using its fire abilities.

5 Bols (Akame Ga Kill!)

Bols Using His Flamethrower Against Night Raid

In Akame Ga Kill!, Night Raid works alongside the Revolutionary Army to bring down the corrupt and vile Empire, but the Empire assembles a group to eliminate them. The group was known as the Jaegers, and Bols was the oldest member. He may have worked for the villainous Empire, but he was actually a kind individual.

He wielded a Teigu called, Purgatory's Invitation: Rubicante, and it is a flamethrower that created streams of fire whenever activated. These flames are so intense that even water cannot extinguish them. It can also shoot individual fire blasts that can hit enemies who are far away.

4 Dabi (My Hero Academia)

His Quirk is called Cremation, and the flames he produces are far more intense than his father's. He can focus his fire into a concentrated beam that is capable of vaporizing his targets. The one downside is the fact that Dabi's body cannot withstand the heat generated by his flames for very long.

3 Satan (Blue Exorcist)

Satan Burning His Host With Blue Fire

Satan is the main antagonist of Blue Exorcist, and he is the father of Rin, the main character. He rules over the demon world of Gehenna as a God, and his true form is that of living blue fire with multiple eyes.

He is the strongest demon in existence, and like his son, he is capable of manipulating blue flames at will. While in a vessel, Satan can shoot multiple fireballs from the palms of his hand, but what really makes him dangerous is the fact that he can cause his victims to spontaneously combust by just looking at them.

2 Monspeet (Seven Deadly Sins)

Monspeet Using Hellblaze Agaianst Meliodas

He was feared because of his Sharingan, but he possessed immense chakra and natural skill as well.

He was able to use all five basic nature transformations, but like other members of his clan, he had an affinity for Fire Release. His mastery over Fire Release was on full display during the war, and he was able to unleash a massive wall of flame that required an entire platoon of ninja to extinguish. When combined with his Susanoo, he can literally burn a small forest by himself.
