A Batman action figure from The Flash shows a new but also puzzling look at what is supposed to be the iconic blue and gray batsuit showcased in The Flash trailer. Ben Affleck's Batman suit has seen its fair share of speculation, and the new action figure may leave more questions than answers.Affleck recently expressed that he has no interest in being part of James Gunn's DCU and that his time in The Flash would only amount to around 5 minutes, despite supposedly being an emotional sendoff and having finally nailed the character. This indicates Affleck's Batman will have little time to shine, but the expectations are high for fans. Although the blue cape and cowl are aesthetically pleasing, the one criticism seems to revolve around the batsuit itself, which can be observed more closely with The Flash movie merchandise.RELATED: Ben Affleck Says He Had A Better Experience Playing Batman For The FlashThe Batman figure released by Entertainment Earth offers a puzzling look at the newly designed Batman suit. At first glance, the design is all black rather than blue and gray, and there are other inconsistencies, such as the figure wearing trunks and more armor, which reflect a lack of accuracy to how Batman is shown in The Flash. If anything, the toy more closely resembles the armor suit worn in Zack Snyder's Justice League.

Looking at The Flash trailer by comparison, the larger bat emblem inspired by Frank Miller's Batman is still consistent with what Zack Snyder established for the character, even though it is somewhat difficult to make out because it blends in with the chest plating that wraps around into a honeycomb-like pattern. In contrast, the lack of trunks is more noticeable this time than in previous batsuits, reflected by a bare-bones and less consistent design than Snyder and costume designer Michael Wilkinson had initially envisioned. The shade of gray may also be too close to the blue cape and cowl for each to stand out from the other, but this is still only a few seconds of footage and an inaccurate action figure to judge how the suit will look and function in the movie.

Fans may want to keep an open mind for what to expect upon the film’s release, even though this probably wasn’t what audiences expected upon seeing this classic Batman suit in The Flash, especially when there was already such a solid base to work with regarding the comic accurate Batman v Superman batsuit.

The Flash premieres in theaters on June 16th, 2023.
