When the name 'Gamer Girl' Belle Delphine gets brought up, any number of things come to mind, as this YouTube personality has a history of performing bizzare stunts. This includes everything from getting "arrested" over a hamster and selling her used bathwater, and much, much more. Interestingly enough, though, Delphine's start on the internet was relatively normal.
Her first YouTube video was originally posted on August 14, 2016, where she uploaded a makeup tutorial. Her next video wasn't until September 5, 2018, where she gave a strange tour of her bedroom. It seems that this is where her popularity began to escalate, as she had created a Patreon account the March before the bedroom video. And things just got out of hand from there, so here's 5 things Belle Delphine did that made us facepalm.
Meet My Best Friend
Her first big stunt was introducing the world to her best friend...a dead octopus. Hopefully, it's a fake, but that doesn't appear to have ever been clarified. She seemingly tacked googly eyes to it and proceeding to show a time span of events with her and her "best friend," including drawing together, playing video games together, and even putting it to bed. As strange as that sounds, it's practically textbook Belle Delphine.
She...Ate...Pewdiepie?
Following a viral Instagram post where she promised to make an adult website account hit its goal, she did so within 2 days. However, the videos were not the NSFW content fans were expecting; it was all troll videos. Among them is one that has been re-uploaded to YouTube...that shows Delphine eating a picture of Pewdiepie.
Interestingly enough, Pewdiepie himself is no strange to reactions to her content, both reviewing the infamous Gamer Girl bath water memes on his channel, but creating videos such as "I Paid Belle Delphine $0" and "Belle Delphine Ate Me?" He sort of skips passed the content, but there's likely to be a metaphorical facepalm somewhere in there when realizing another internet personality ate his picture.
Extreme Gamer Girl Bath Water ONE LAST TIME SALE
Perhaps her most infamous stunt is when she claimed to be selling her bath water. It's unsure if it legitimately was her bathwater, there was a whole hoax about people getting a disease through it, and the overall stunt was just out there. However, it hit an all-time high at the end when she was selling her "Extreme Gamer Girl Bath Water" "ONE LAST TIME" that earned the biggest facepalm.
This one last time sale was obviously stretching the attention that bath water in general got her, but it went much further, as this was supposedly a tote of her bathwater reserved solely for her $10, 000+ Patreon subscribers. It also supposedly came with a video of her bathing in the tote...and on top of all that and the price, "shipping is free."
Delphine Was "Arrested" Over a Hamster
Delphine's social media has a tendency to disappear for some time before returning with her latest stunt. One of these was a mugshot where she had been "arrested," and while that is dubious at best, the reason behind it is even more ridiculous. Supposedly, someone stole her hamster, so she vandalized their vehicle. The whole Belle Delphine arrest scenario is suspect based on the fact that her mugshot was never found online anywhere beyond her Twitter page, and it didn't match department standards of mugshots found in her location in that given time span. Whatever the case, claiming to get arrested over a hamster, regardless whether it is true or not, is a bit incredulous.
How to Become Belle Delphine
As of this writing, her YouTube channel has over 700,000 followers, but only 4 videos. The latest was posted a month ago and is entitled "How to Become Belle Delphine." There's some irony to that title, as Delphine is a cosplayer, so it would seem like a video about how to cosplay a cosplayer. However, it's gets much weirder than that. In it, she is apparently turning a skeleton into some mock-up version of herself, with a voiceover depicting the actions of the video. One action in this "transformation" is cutting open a heart, in what quickly turns into some strange ritual, where Delphine's "heart" is a raw chicken. And it just keeps getting weirder from there.
