Rumbleverse is a new online battle royale multiplayer game from Iron Galaxy. Following the winning formula of the extremely successful Fortnite, Epic Games are handling the publishing and will be hoping to strike gold twice with Rumbleverse. Swapping out guns for wrestling moves, players will need to learn punches, kicks, and elbow drops to succeed.

The game is free to play and available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Microsoft Windows. This crazy 40-person brawler royale could be tricky to navigate for newcomers, but there are some hints and tricks that will help players find their feet and get those victories.

10 Explore The City

Rumbleverse - City

The first thing players should do in any battle royale game is know the map. Huge areas, each a distinct zone with its own vantage points, hiding places, and open areas. One of the worst things to do is to enter a new zone without surveying and scoping it out first.

Advice for players would be to explore everywhere, land in a new area the first few games, and truly get to know it. Find the vantage points, get to know where to run to recover, and get a feel for the layout. Follow this tip and get on the road to victory.

9 Collect Magazines

Rumbleverse New Battle Royale

In Rumbleverse, one of the most crucial items in a good player's arsenal is a magazine. Yes, that's right, a magazine. Collecting these around the city is another way to guarantee players an advantage.

Magazines can be found around the city in the crates dotted around each area. Once found, smash them open and equip a magazine in a slot. Using the magazine will allow combatants the ability to learn a brand new move. Some great upgrades can be found to get ever closer to securing a win, so it's time to smash those crates and get reading.

8 Drink Potions

Rumbleverse - Clown

Normally, it wouldn't be advised to drink a random beverage found in a crate on the street. However, in Rumbleverse, it is very much advised so smash up those crates and drink up. These are no random-filled bottles; they are miracle potions designed to give players the edge in battles.

Each potion can provide players with upgrades that become crucial in those tense moments squaring off against an opponent. Potions can increase health, boost stamina or even give extra strength when consumed. Be mindful that a limit of 10 potions per match can be used, so choose wisely when using them.

7 Grab A Weapon

Runner Perk Rumbleverse

No noteworthy heel in wrestling has ever had a successful career and never picked up a foreign object to gain an advantage. In Rumbleverse, the same rules apply; grab anything that can be picked up and turn the tide when facing tough adversaries.

Baseball bats are a top choice as they hit hard and swing fast, grab one today and hit a home run on the enemy. Not a fan of sports? No problem, there are many chairs dotted around each area that can not only be swung directly in close combat but can be thrown towards another player to do damage before closing the gap.

6 Climb Everywhere

The streets seem like the obvious choice to take a brawl in usual situations; however, Rumbleverse is no usual situation. Sometimes being in the open view of everyone around can be to the player's disadvantage. Yes, there may be times for street-level brawling to be the only choice, but in Rumbleverse, there is another option.

Each building can be scaled rather quickly and easily. Simply head to the closest one and hit the climb button to bring some high ground advantage to the table. Climbing allows players to scope out areas and even flee a battle that isn’t going the right way.

5 Beware The Circle

Satisfaction Rumbleverse

It is not just other combatants that players need to keep an eye out for in Rumbleverse; there is also a constant pressure to stay on the move and to be aware at all times of something called the circle. Avoiding the circle is crucial to becoming a better player and can catch even the most seasoned brawler out in the wrong situation.

The circle closes in like other battle royale games forcing players together. A ten count begins for players outside, and when it reaches zero, the player is disqualified. So, make sure to check where it is moving to next to avoid getting counted out.

4 Try Playground Mode

rumbleverse

Before jumping into battle with the big boys, try playground mode out, learn the city, practice climbing, and find vantage points. Playground mode has a safe option where combat can be turned off for those seeking to improve their game without being beaten up.

Players can even learn new moves by practicing with a training robot, each allowing moves to be used on them and often returning the favor to help get to grips with what has been learned. 8 locations across the city are available to read information and learn the ropes; players can even explore the city with a friend, perfect for getting ready to head into duos mode.

3 Buddy Up

Weapon Master Rumbleverse

Duos mode, like in other battle royale games, allows players to team up to try and gain victory in Grapital City, help each other find items and share loot, and take on other duos together. Not only is it a lot more fun to have a tag team partner to get into brawls with, but it also allows players to learn the ropes when starting.

Playing with a friend allows Rumbleverse combatants to have someone watching your back across the city. This mode is crucial to getting better at the game, as having someone there to help find items, scope out other players, or even survey new areas is a lot easier than in solo mode.

2 Jump Further

Rabbit Foot Rumbleverse

Normal jumping covers a small amount of distance and may be fine for hurdling obstacles at ground level when exploring. Combining dash and jump will enable players to traverse much longer distances. It can also allow for a quick escape should the action on the streets of Grapital City become too hot to handle and when crossing the city on rooftops to avoid getting counted out by the circle.

Learning the dash jump also allows players to close the distance between an opponent who may be attacking with projectiles like the chair. To perform the dash jump, simply press jump while dashing to launch into an extended jump.

1 Daily Grind

Rumbleverse - Green Lucha

What would a good battle royale game be without its dailies? Daily challenges are the bread and butter for the player looking to move up ranks and collect those rewards. Unlocking cosmetic items and upgrades can be a real grind if the daily challenges are ignored, so be sure to check them out each day.

On the lobby screen, head over to the left to see what is available and load into a match to complete a challenge; the rewards will come fast and quickly. This is the best way to get XP quickly and will bring players a real focus and purpose to each match in Rumbleverse.

Rumbleverse is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
