There can be some daunting levels and perilous obstacles for new players to navigate, such as the challenges faced in the arduous Airtime survival game. However, there are a few tips and tricks, some universal and others level-specific, that can give new players a fighting chance at survival.
10 Crowd Control
If there's one thing that's best to avoid across all levels and game modes in Fall Guys, it's crowds. Very rarely does being crowded amongst other beans provide any sort of benefit. Usually, it results in getting shoved into obstacles, getting stuck, or being knocked over by other players.
Race levels like 'Door Dash' play on crowd chaos perfectly, with players tasked with racing through the correct doors and avoiding the fake ones to successfully reach the finish line. Following the crowd can sometimes be beneficial, but it's best to avoid getting stuck in the middle of them.
9 Judge Jumps And Dive For Distance
The decision to jump versus dive should be deployed with quick but careful consideration. Diving is rarely actually needed and only tends to be useful for safely traversing large gaps that cannot be reached by simple jumping alone. Otherwise, it can just slow players down.
Diving speed is less useful in certain levels like 'Team Tail Tag' in Squad mode, where one group of players must grab and hold onto another group's tails to qualify when the time runs out. A better strategy than repeatedly diving can be to make use of the level's features, like gaining speed by running on conveyor belts and using the central crossroad plinth to monitor where other players are.
8 Baby Steps
Some levels in Fall Guys demand maximum speed to qualify, whereas others rely more on accurate and timely footing. Small but brave steps can be useful in the 'Tip Toe' race level, where tentative steps will help players successfully determine which tiles are fake and lead to falling.
However, it's crucial to be wary of players who will watch your tentative movements and try to push you onto unsteady tiles. Once baby steps are taken and the route known, it's best to move forward with speed and accuracy as quickly as possible.
7 Short-Cut Saviour
Always be on the lookout for alternative paths and shortcuts with fewer obstacles to navigate to take the lead and reduce qualifying time. On some levels, certain routes can be easier such as looking out for those left-turn deviant paths in the 'Speed Circuit' race level which all contain a speed boost gateway. By simply going left, players can avoid the obstructions like hammers as well as pick up speed for a faster finish.
In the 'Hit Parade' race level, players can avoid the doughnut-stacked moving poles by sticking to the left or right side of the slippery, slime-filled incline rather than performing a risky run straight through the middle.
6 Hopping How-To

Sometimes in Fall Guys, it's not just about keeping moving, but how to keep moving. That's certainly the case in the 'Hex-a-gone' final round mini-game. In this level, evenly timed, quick jumps are essential to stay on top of the falling platforms as long as possible in order to successfully reach the end and win without falling into the slime.
Players might notice running will speed up the rate at which the hexagon-shaped tiles fall, so it's crucial to learn the fall patterns of the environment and adjust movement accordingly in order to stay in the game.
5 Balancing Act - Patience Is A Virtue
One of the trickiest races in Fall Guys is the 'Big Fans' level, which is a test of balance, endurance, and well-timed jumps as players navigate large gaps between spinning fans, sometimes combined with rotating beams that can knock beans off the edge.
'Big Fans' is quite a lengthy level, so players can't dither too long as they risk balancing across the inner fan circles to progress forward. This level proves that often patience pays off for those players that persist in taking their time to balance and get into the right position to reach the finish line.
4 To Move Or Not To Move
To successfully reach the next round ironically often lies in not moving much and if at all. In the 'Big Shots' survival level, players stand on a platform while numerous gigantic objects like game controllers, stars, and planets are launched to try to knock them into the surrounding slime.
This type of level is very much about the art of the shuffle, whilst simultaneously keeping a close eye on where those flying obstacles are heading to avoid a surprise punting. Similar levels that don't require much movement are survival levels like 'The Swiveller', where it can be more effective to stand still and watch the fan's direction to avoid turning into bean-shaped tumbleweed.
3 Memory Magic
Some levels beginner players may find particularly confusing to beat at first include many of the memory mini-game style levels, such as the difficult Sum Fruit level, where players have to successfully memorize the fruit that appears.
Similarly, in 'Perfect Match', players are tested with memorizing which tiles different fruit is displayed on, then standing on a tile that correctly matches the fruit that appears on one of 4 surrounding screens in effectively a giant game of Snap. Here, it's best to just focus on remembering a small area of nearby tiles, like a corner, to increase the chances of success.
2 No Rush Rotations
Take your time while crossing rotating platforms, whether that's the spike-encrusted tubes in the 'Knight Fever' race or cylinders peppered with hazardous holes in 'Roll On'. Don't be afraid to pause and reposition beans, or even turn around for a moment before continuing.
Although it is possible to keep running forward whilst avoiding spikes and holes, it can be best to take a little extra time to get into an accurate position when first starting out. This can save valuable time rather than repeatedly falling off the edge.

When it comes to those pesky propellors, although timing is crucial, success is often easier if players stick near the end edge of the propellors. This is true of whether the propellors are in the standard, vertical position like in 'The Whirlygig' race or lying flat horizontally as pink and white striped hazards in 'Hit Parade'.
Try sticking close to the ends of each propeller blade to avoid getting hit. For instance, in 'Hit Parade' players can walk straight through the propeller cluster in virtually a straight line with little to no trouble and avoid being bounced around like a pinball.
