Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires is the Empires edition of Dynasty Warriors 9, and is the latest game in the series. Many players have been flocking to Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires for the rich character customization, the siege battles function, and the one-versus-100 combat.
As such, there have been many new players who have become lost or stuck on the basics of the game and will need a few tips that veteran players know to get started.
7 Playing on Normal Is Boring
Although it may not seem like it at first, many players - even first-time players - have agreed that playing on Normal is just downright boring. The world feels emptier, and there is less to do when it comes to battle mode. Instead, many players have automatically started playing on Hard mode, even for their first time playing.
The enemies do have more HP in Hard mode, but at the same time, there are more captains stationed around the map, to give the area more life. Chaos Mode does increase the captains as well, but then enemies become what players refer to as "health sponges," and don't offer any real challenge except for hardcore players.
6 Traders Have Rotating Inventories
In Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires, Traders are perhaps one of the most important NPCs that a player could stumble upon in a town. Each Trader will have an inventory that is unique to them in every town.
On top of this, the inventory will rotate and refresh every day, so there could be days that a Trader has something a player wants or needs. It would do a player good to check all of the Traders they are in contact with every day. There's no telling when a Trader could have a valuable item that would complete a player's build.
5 Seize Catapult Bases
The name of the game in Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires is capturing bases for the player's own benefit. One of the best bases for a player to seize during game-play is a Catapult Base, and it's not very hard to see why this base, in particular, is an important one.
Catapult Bases will automatically start attacking any enemy bases on the map once they are captured. These bases will do good for whittling down all the enemies with only a bit of extra work, so a player should prioritize capturing these kinds of bases as soon as possible.
4 Gold Crowns Are Valuable Accessories
After a bit of game-play, any player will realize that the Gold Crown accessory is one of the best in the game, and it's not hard to see why. The accessory is simple; it will attract items and pull them towards the player, which is important if there are many items strewn across the battlefield.
A player should start looking for a Gold Crown to buy as soon as possible. It will benefit them greatly to ensure that all items are picked up and placed in their inventory; there's no telling what a player might be able to then acquire.
3 Stat Points Should Go Only Into Three Stats
Players can increase their stats with stat points, which are fairly common. They can increase all of their stats with these points, but there are only three stats that matter - attack, attack speed, and power. In Dynasty Warriors 9 Empire, attack speed will increase how fast attacks go - this is a very useful stat, because it means the player can land more attacks.
Most players have figured out that the best way to go is to start by cranking the attack stat to 999 as soon as possible, and then working on speed. This will maximize their damage.
2 Use Accompany and Secret Plan Often
Accompany and Secret Plan are two choices that a player can make in battle, and it would do them well to utilize them as much as they can. Accompany will make a player change their Military Unit to the officer that they are trying to recruit, and each one will come with their own plan.
Secret Plans are, essentially, skills that each different character has to use. For example, one person's Secret Plan can heal their allies for quite a bit of HP, while other plans are more damage-based. It's a good idea to play around and find good plans.
1 Trigger Attacks are Useful
Trigger Attacks are one of the best attacks a player can use within battle. Charging up Trigger Attacks will greatly increase their power - which, in turn, means even more damage - and once unleashed, will launch multiple enemies into the air. Guard Counters are similar to them, in that they will cause the enemy to be stopped in their tracks for a moment.
A player should learn how to use Trigger Attacks as soon as possible (and maybe even perfect them). This is because they are far more effective than simply mashing the attack button over and over again.
