Before Half-Life: Alyx created a new boom for VR headsets, Beat Saber drew in a devoted audience. Since its release in 2019, developer Beat Games Studio has continued adding songs from popular culture to its game. While Beat Saber's addictive gameplay and song library is impressive on its own, the game is about to drop another massive update next week.

A recent tweet to the official Beat Saber Twitter account announced that the virtual reality game will be releasing 46 new beatmaps. Beat Games Studio is spreading the new maps across 18 songs, abd will also debut 10 new 360° levels with 90° variants. The tweet also confirmed 26 new One Saber levels.

An additional blog post on the Oculus website gave a full list of songs and maps organized by difficulty level from Hard to Expert+. Beat Games Studio also gave excited players more information in the comments, confirming that the update will be available on all platforms. While most fans are excited about the new update, one Twitter user noted that it was likely only free since the songs were already available.

Fans should enjoy the new challenges that this update presents. Although Facebook acquired Beat Games Studio, it is clear that the developer is still highly supportive of its players beyond the Oculus headsets.
