Finally able to discuss her involvement in Bayonetta 3, Viola VA Anna Brisbin decided to celebrate by streaming the new title on Twitch. Seeing someone who is in a game play it is certainly an experience, and many Bayonetta 3 fans flocked to the stream.

Brisbin also decided to use her Bayonetta 3 stream for donations to Trans Lifeline, a charity that describes itself as a "trans-led organization that connects trans people to the community, support, and resources they need to survive and thrive." It is a 501 non-profit organization that offers phone support, microgrants, and operates as a transgender crisis hotline (with all operates also being transgender).

Brisbin also revealed that viewers of her Bayonetta 3 stream raised a grand total of $5,170.69 for the charity, with the VA thanking fans who support the game, her, and most importantly, the charity here. Indeed, this is a welcome bit of heart-warming news around the game's VAs after controversy unfolded around it ahead of launch. Bayonetta's previous voice actor Hellena Taylor recently claimed PlatinumGames lowballed her on her role, which the company denied. Taylor called on fans to boycott Bayonetta 3, while investigations into the matter cast doubt on plenty of her claims. It's been a lot of back and forth, with many upset how this potentially reflects on VA efforts for better recognition in the industry.

To make matters worse, Taylor was still calling on boycotts of Bayonetta 3 after these developments, with the former VA listing out some charities she'd prefer fans donate to instead of playing the game. Among these are several anti-abortion charities, including Westminister Cathedral, Aid to the Church in Need, and Billboards for Life. The latter is a charity focused on "blanket[ing] cities and towns" with billboards that raise public awareness regarding the "sanctity of all Human Life." Needless to say, this has soured some of those who supported her from the onset, and it makes an already bad situation even worse.

Some of this controversy rolled over onto new Bayonetta voice actor Jennifer Hale, who is understandably limited in what she could say regarding the matter. With this in mind, some positivity in this sphere is certainly welcome. Bayonetta 3 has generally favorable reviews, even with some issues in and of itself, but it's clear that Brisbin and many more are enjoying their time with it.

Bayonetta 3 is available now, exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
