The cliffhanger ending to Batwoman season 2 left fans unsatisfied with the series of dramatic developments. However, Robin Givens has joined the cast of the third season as a character who may solve one of these dramatic cliffhanger moments.

Givens, known for her role as Sierra McCoy on The CW's Riverdale, has been announced to join Batwoman season 3 in the major role of a powerful CEO named Jada Jet. Per Deadline, the character is described with a very important detail: an elusive past that forced her to give up her first-born child.

Along with everything else that kept audiences on their toes during the Batwoman season 2 finale, fans learned that Ryan Wilder's (Javicia Leslie) mother, previously thought to have died in childbirth, is in fact alive. Although no details or person in the role were shown, it is very possible that Jada Jet is Ryan's mother considering the provided for the character. Givens' character is also described as having a son and that she will do anything to protect her family.

If she is Ryan's mother, will she accept and protect her too? It seems more than coincidental that the Batwoman season 2 finale ended with the discovery of a missing living mother and season 3 will include a new mother with a missing adult child. Showrunner Caroline Dries already confirmed that in season 3, Ryan's life will begin to expand and unfold as she makes new discoveries about herself. However, an introduction to her mother could prove to be just another obstacle for Ryan instead of a happy reunion.

Ryan was raised in foster care and also ripped away from her foster mother, leaving her with a feeling of emptiness. Her mother re-entering her life would be important to the character, but with Jada Jet so focused on her CEO role and son, where Ryan will fit in is uncertain. Leslie previously stated that Batwoman season 3 will open up a whole new world for her character and that the discussion of Ryan's biological parents would be addressed in a tricky way.

In addition to her role as Sierra McCoy in Riverdale, Givens also has played multiple other characters on well-known television shows. She played roles in Head of the Class, The Cosby ShowThe Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and The Game, among others. Certainly, she will add another incredible character to season 3 of Batwoman, which seems to be fully moving away from the Ruby Rose-era of the series. Batwoman season 3 will premiere on October 13 at 9 p.m. ET on the CW. MORE: The Flash: Why Hasn't The Movie's Villain Been Released Yet?
