Rumors about Battlefield 6 have been circulating a lot in recent weeks. Fans have been eagerly waiting for any official details on the military shooter, but have only received a variety of small leaks and peeks at Battlefield 6 thus far.

Battlefield is one of the most popular shooter franchises in the industry. While the two latest entries in the series took things back to World War 1 and 2, it has been confirmed that Battlefield 6 will return to the modern age, much to the excitement of many of its fans. However, there have been a wide variety of leaks that could indicate some incredible things about the game if true.

The newest of these leaks is a bit unorthodox, as it is reportedly the audio for an upcoming reveal trailer. The clip is less than half a minute long and contains what one would expect from a trailer for a shooter. There is some music, soldiers yelling orders, distant gunfire, and what sounds like a plane zipping by overhead. The most interesting part of the audio clip comes toward the end, when it sounds as though a large building is falling apart, which would coincide with the various rumors about Battlefield 6's improved destructibility features.

There is little else to glean from the audio clip, but it surfacing does indicate that fans may likely get some news on the title coming soon, especially since an industry insider claims fans can expect Battlefield 6 news sometime this week. Hopefully, fans will get some more official news soon, as fans still have questions surrounding Battlefield 6, such as whether or not the title will feature a battle royale mode. With the sheer number of leaks and rumors that have come out ahead of the game's official announcement, it is likely that some of them are accurate, but players should still take them with a grain of salt.

Regardless of when news comes, Battlefield 6 will undoubtedly be a massive release. The series has a dedicated fan base, and if it does contain a battle royale mode it will be interesting to see how it measures up to other titles in the genre like Call of Duty: Warzone. Of course, many of the rumors indicate that Battlefield 6 is taking a drastic new approach, so it is hard to pin down what players should expect. Hopefully, Battlefield fans won't have to wait long to get some official news.

Battlefield 6 is confirmed to be in development but does not have a release date.
