Battlefield 6 fans have been hoping for some concrete information on the game for some time now, as most of the known info has come from leaks. Unfortunately, it seems like there is a chance that fans will have to keep waiting, as the Battlefield 6 reveal could be coming a bit further down the road.

This latest bit of information comes from Jeff Grubb, who has proven to be a reputable source for leaked info in the past. Just a few days ago, he had commented on the rumors regarding Battlefield 6’s reveal, with Grubb believing that the event would take place in early May. However, with the days winding down and the middle of the month quickly approaching, this prediction is looking a bit less likely. As such, Grubb has provided an update that expands on his original comments.

According to Grubb, he had heard that “early May” was the plan back in March. Unfortunately, he had not been informed of the plans to push back the reveal, with the insider now letting fans know that the reveal window has been moved. While he does not have a specific date, he does tell those interested that May is still a possibility for Battlefield 6’s first trailer. According to Grubb, if it does come this month, late May is the likely scenario. Otherwise, he believes the reveal will happen at the start of June. Either way, gamers will need to wait a bit longer for official details and gameplay footage.

In his previous comments about Battlefield 6, Grubb echoed the claims of fellow leaker Tom Henderson, as both have mentioned a modern setting and that the game will not be called “Battlefield 6.” As for details on the reveal trailer itself, Henderson has confirmed that the focus of the fighting will be on a massive desert island. Beyond this, Battlefield 6’s crash landing feature is set to be shown, with an Osprey supposedly crashing onto a group of unsuspecting soldiers at some point in the reveal trailer’s runtime.

For those that cannot wait until late May or early June, though, Battlefield 6’s leaked screenshots may be worth a look. One image shows an island covered in some lush greenery, with Ospreys flying overhead. The other image sees someone piloting a jet from first-person view, with several different ammo types shown on the HUD. A mini map sits in the bottom left corner, and the surrounding location shows a huge rocket that is being prepared to fly up into the sky.

While the leaked screenshots were a nice surprise for fans, they do offer little insight into Battlefield 6’s scope and scale. For fans hoping to see some maps, weapons, and destruction in action, it seems likely that a few more weeks of patience will be necessary.

Battlefield 6 is in development for unspecified platforms.
