While Battlefield 6 fans are still waiting for some official news on the game, it seems like the leaks are continuing to pour in. Apparently, Battlefield 6 fans now have an idea of what the game's debut trailer could end up looking like, as its potential setting has been revealed.

For some time now, Battlefield 6 fans have expected Kazakhstan to be the game’s main setting. This is due to some interesting GPS coordinates that fans found in a 2020 Battlefield tech demo. Further, players found the same coordinates on a medal worn by a character in Battlefield 5, with the location again being Kazakhstan. While these teasers could certainly be legitimate, and the country could appear inside Battlefield 6, it will apparently not feature in the first trailer for the game.

Redditor niqen posted an image of a direct message conversation they had with Tom Henderson, with the fan asking the leaker about Battlefield 6’s Kazakhstan setting. According to Henderson, he is “not sure” about this rumor, as the reveal footage for the game apparently takes place on a desert island. This is an interesting turn of events, as it goes against what fans have believed for some time now. Further, the use of a single location implies that the trailer will only be showing off a small portion of the game.

As for what this desert island will entail, niqen makes the fine point that it will likely be large in scale. With massive maps rumored and Battlefield 6’s larger player count referenced by EA, this adds up. Players can expect some new destruction as well, with a mixture of first-person footage and cinematic shots likely based on other Battlefield trailers. As for where this island can be located, players seem to have no idea, as Henderson was not specific about any details and landmarks of the map apart from its distinct island style.

There is potential for Battlefield 6’s leaked natural disasters to be shown off as well, with a sandstorm possible given the desert locale. At the same time, it seems like some fans are doubtful regarding this specific leak. Redditor Adelic, for example, does not believe that an entire reveal trailer would take place in just one area. This is a fair argument, with Reddit users like forlornpolarbear adding that Battlefield 5’s reveal only featured one map due to most parts of the game not ready to be shown. Still, while the information should be taken with a grain of salt, Henderson has proven correct in the past.

With Battlefield 6 supposedly far into development and making good progress, it would make sense if DICE and EA would want to show off several locations from the game. According to this new Battlefield 6 leak, though, the current plan is to double down on a desert island map for the first trailer.

Battlefield 6 is in development for unspecified platforms.
