The upcoming Battlefield 6 hasn't been officially revealed yet, with fans only getting a confirmation that the game is in development and set to release sometime this year. But there is now a more narrow release window for Battlefield 6 ahead of its first trailer.

For those who don't know, rumors and leaks regarding Battlefield 6 have been circulating a lot recently. Many of them are focused on when players can expect the game's first trailer to release, with many others discussing some of Battlefield 6's possible features. None of the leaks or rumors have been confirmed as of yet, of course, and the fanbase is still eagerly awaiting the release of the trailer.

Now, however, news of Battlefield 6's target release window has been released thanks to a financial results report from publisher EA. In the report, it says that Battlefield 6 is scheduled to release sometime between October and December of this year. The release window isn't too surprising, as the industry's biggest games tend to release just before the holiday season, and the Battlefield series has historically released around then. The release window would put Battlefield 6 releasing very close to this year's Call of Duty, which is also slated to release sometime later this year.

Battlefield 6 2 Potential Leaked Shots

However, little else was revealed about the game in EA's financial report. Battlefield 6 has been described by EA as taking full advantage of the new generation of consoles, so it seems possible that the series skipped a release last year to ensure a more advanced title. This would also make sense if the rumors that Battlefield 6 is skipping the Playstation 4 and Xbox One turn out to be accurate, as well as the various leaks about the title's upgraded destructibility systems that could see players flattening entire cities during matches.

Battlefield fans just recently received confirmation that Battlefield 6 will be revealed sometime in June, although the announcement does not include a date for the event. June is when this year's E3 is taking place, so it does seem likely that the game will be shown off there. EA also has a EA Play Live event slated for later in July that could also bring more information about the title, if it is revealed during a press conference at E3. It is odd that the game hasn't been shown this close to its release, but, thankfully, it seems fans will not have much longer to wait to get a look at what's to come with Battlefield 6.

Battlefield 6 is currently in development with a reported release window of Holiday 2021.
