Battlefield 6 has seen its biggest leak yet, as two images of gameplay have been posted online. However, it seems like gamers would have seen these Battlefield 6 screenshots a fair bit sooner had they been paying attention to the comment section on a specific Reddit post.

The leaked Battlefield 6 screenshots show a first person few of some vehicular action and an overhead view of a map. In the first-person image, a jet pilot is seen looking at a rocket, with a clear look at the hud provided. Missiles can be seen on the lower right corner of the image, with four different ammo types seemingly available. The map can be seen in the bottom left corner, and a targeting square can be seen around an enemy jet. As for the image with an overhead view, several ospreys can be seen flying over a grassy island, with a beach seen on the far end of the land mass.

With ospreys also mentioned via a Tom Henderson leak regarding the return of crash landings, the images certainly seemed to be genuine. Henderson himself has also confirmed that the screenshots are legit, though it is unclear if these scenes will feature in the reveal trailer for Battlefield 6 or are simply taken from a game testing session. However, what is clear is that this leak actually occurred two weeks ago, as Redditor dayonedlc has discovered what could very well be the original source for the screen grabs.

Posting in the GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit, the gamer links to the original comment that contained the screenshots. Made by what is now a deleted account, the comment contains no text apart from an Imgur link. Sure enough, the link leads to the very same screenshots that have gotten Battlefield 6 fans so excited. With the account now deleted, it is impossible to see if the person behind it has posted any other Battlefield 6 information. For now, though, fans are left wondering how the photos were missed in the first place.

In both the replies to dayonedlc’s post and the comment that contained the images, players invested in the Battlefield series are seen asking how the comment went unseen. To be fair, though, it was attached to a random meme post from Redditor DaizerDaizer, with the original post only getting 75 comments and 263 upvotes. Further, with many of the comments now coming in reply to the Imgur link, the post’s moderate success level helped obscure the leak. On top of this, Redditor Spaceguy_98 makes the fine point that some viewers could have assumed it was a piece of fan art.

Still, this situation is interesting, as it brings into question how many leaks for Battlefield 6 have gone undiscovered. With Battlefield 6’s reveal date still unconfirmed, too, gamers will need to rely on leaks like this one for a while longer.

Battlefield 6 is in development for unspecified platforms.
