There's no doubt that plenty of first-person shooter fans are looking forward to getting to try out Battlefield V during its open beta to see what kind of changes Electronic Arts and DICE have made since the closed alpha. Now the publisher and developer have decided to cater to the more diehard fans of the series by announcing a "Gold Rush" Xbox One X special edition console bundle for those looking to celebrate the forthcoming sequel's release in a major way.

This much was revealed during Microsoft's "Inside Xbox" show during gamescom 2018, with the tech firm debuting the Battlefield V "Gold Rush" Xbox One X alongside a handful of other game bundles for the console. What sets the Xbox One X Gold Rush edition apart is its gold gradient that blends from the left into system's standard matte black, What's more is that the special bundle contains a wireless controller, a copy of Battlefield V's Deluxe Edition, a backward compatible copy of Battlefield 1943, as well as a 1-month code for EA Access.

As previously mentioned, should the Battlefield V Xbox One X Gold Rush edition not be one's cup of tea, those in the market for other bundles including the game will be pleased to know that others are planned for eventual release, too. For instance, Microsoft has announced that standard Xbox One X and Xbox One S bundles are scheduled for the first-person shooter sequel that will also include Battlefield V's Deluxe Edition.

With the Battlefield V Xbox One X Gold Rush edition now having been revealed, it will be interesting to see how the console bundle will perform at launch, especially since pre-orders for the title itself have reportedly been weak so far. As it so happens, the industry analysis firm known as Cowen & Company suggest that Battlefield V could have a disappointing sales upon release thanks to launching alongside competitors such as Red Dead Redemption 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

Battlefield V is set to launch on October 19, 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
