Battlefield 2042 was finally revealed just before E3 with a gameplay reveal following at Xbox's showcase during the conference. Battlefield 2042 has shown a lot of new features for the series, but popular Twitch streamer Shroud says that there is still a lot more of the game that fans have not seen yet.

So far, Battlefield 2042 has revealed its near-future setting as well as sizable lobbies of 128 players on PC and next-gen consoles. The gameplay trailer also revealed some of the new gadgets players will have access to in the game like wingsuits and grapple hooks as well as Battlefield 2042's super destructive weather disasters.

Shroud's comments on the matter came during the streamer's co-stream of E3 2021. Battlefield 2042 started being discussed in his chat, to which Shroud commented that the trailer was a lot different from what he was expecting. Afterward, Shroud commented that Electronic Arts would likely share more information about the game during its Summer EA Play event. When pressed on the matter, Shroud told his chat that there is still a lot more of the game for DICE and EA to show people, but that he had already said more than he should have on the matter.

As for what else there is to reveal about Battlefield 2042, there is no way to know for sure, but there are some elements that would make the most sense. One aspect would be giving players more detail on Battlefield 2042's new specialists that are replacing the series' historical class system. A few of the specialists have been shown, but there is definitely more information that players don't know about them. The game also still has a lot to reveal about its maps. The gameplay trailer gave players a look at some of the maps, but DICE could easily show more of them as well as detail how exactly the weather system works during matches.

It will be very interesting to see what else is shown of Battlefield 2042 in time, and there is surely a lot more about the game that the developers have to reveal to fans. There is a lot of excitement surrounding the game, and fans are understandably eager to learn as much about the game as they can.  Thankfully, fans now know exactly how long they have to wait to play Battlefield 2042, so hopefully, the developers do reveal some more information about the game to help tide players over while they wait to jump into the game.

Battlefield 2042 releases on October 22 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
