Electronic Arts and DICE are releasing Battlefield 2042 later this week and early access has already begun for EA Play Subscribers and players who purchased the Gold or Ultimate editions of the game. Among the complaints about Battlefield 2042 so far is the scoreboard, which one fan has already revised.

Gamers are known for taking to the internet to express their opinions about newly released games and sometimes they even solve problems with games they discuss. Reddit user Designedbyim, who is also a UI designer, has taken all of the feedback they've seen online about Battlefield 2042's scoreboard and took the initiative to improve it in their own way. Although some Battlefield 2042 fans may not immediately take a liking to Designedbyim's scoreboard, the improvements to it are noticeable.

Battlefield 2042 players are struggling to properly track their kills or those of teammates from any given multiplayer match and the complaints are among one of several early reactions to Battlefield 2042. While the popular All-Out Warfare game mode is the modernized multiplayer, Battlefield Portal fans are also encountering a similarly ambiguous scoreboard. If EA is to implement improvements to the scoreboard system in Battlefield 2042, it may look similar to Designedbyim's recent post.

Designedbyim's Battlefield 2042 scoreboard offers the most pivotal information that players, especially for high-scoring Battlefield 2042 players, look to a scoreboard for right at the top. The top bar of Designedbyim's scoreboard shows kills, deaths, assists, revives, overall score, and how many points the player has captured. Beneath the bold bar at the top are the top 25 players and those same stats showing where they are in comparison to the other 24 players.

The bulletin-style Battlefield 2042 scoreboard from Designedbyim shows a slightly smaller panel next to the top 25 players from each team to show more important data. This section includes the game mode and how much time is left in the match above which team holds a majority of the sectors in a Battlefield 2042 multiplayer map. Although the main UI of Battlefield 2042 shows players which team is ahead and which is dragging behind just above the mini-map, Designedbyim's scoreboard includes the same information in a larger font.

Beneath the overall match score in Designedbyim's Battlefield 2042 scoreboard shows a player's squad and the kills, deaths, etc. of each member of the team. This part of the scoreboard screen will help players keep up with their squad's stats which aren't shown properly in a Battlefield 2042 match until its conclusion. One of the most important details of Designedbyim's scoreboard is the color scheme of the menu which makes every word and number more legible than the existing Battlefield 2042 and Battlefield Portal scoreboards.

Battlefield 2042 releases on November 19 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
